We’re now unlocking game modes via Quick Join based on player level, leading new players from the simplest to the most involved game mode as they progress:

Execution Mode - Level 1
Objective Mode - Level 3
Stopwatch Mode - Level 5

New players will still be able to play any casual mode from the server browser at any level"


Does this look right to you. It started with 4 level 1’s aswell
Thing is this isn’t the only one.
Basically change that ASAP!

And oh you can bet your ass the new guys were pissed.

Yeah I brought this up earlier. It’s a stupid idea and they’re only doing it to show off their new gamemode. Stopwatch will always be the main mode, and as such players should be introduced to the concept of Obj/SW as soon as possible, and not execution, which is far more punishing for newer players.

Yep, Execution is too punishing for new players and frustrating to play with noobs who die every round. I think objective should be lvl 1.

but the most people are overwhelmed and dont get the concept of playing objective mode… with primary and secondary objectives… that change when completed… and shift the map.

on the other side it seems like a CS clone before you can dive deeper into it.

I dont really see what you are complaining about, its a lot easier to win with a team of lvl 1 in execution than in obj/sw. its just a bit wierd they dont get their max lvl 5 easy start they had before.

It’s pretty obvious that SD is trying to appeal to the new players with Execution, as it’s similar to all those other games with those on life style gamemodes.

Thing is, if someone plays CSGO, they’re not gonna try out DB. Let’s be honest here, CSGO players are pretty elitist. Objective should be the main mode, as if to say “This is the game. Get used to it.” Later on, introduce them to Execution, “Hey guys, there’s also this gamemode that’s reminiscent of that old military shooter you stopped playing for this.”

Objective should be lvl 1, stopwatch lvl3, and execution lvl 5, or at least keep the new people out of the free level servers, not out of spite but just so they can get to grips with this game.

Heck, even add in some tutorials on how to drop ammo/give health etc.

Are there Max Level 5 Execution servers? If they added those, then we’d solve the Quick Join problem.

I think Execution should be level 3 and Objective level 1 instead. Execution is pretty tactical and most noobs don’t even know what their role is in Objective, let alone in Execution.
