do you mean JUST vis or could i use a compile with VIS in it?

Sounds works same way as brushes for what comes to vis blocking. Same rules apply to them. If you visblock a brush it won’t be drawn, if you visblock a sound it won’t be played (unless you use nopvs). So proper vis block and vis compile are needed. Usually you get away with range key in this kind of situations tho.

thanx i will try it out… but the comandposts needs the nopvs? but as you said i can use the range key…that will probably work… i’ll do a vis compile first and see

Not in this occasion. If you used the nopvs, the sound would play anywhere within it’s sound range, no matter what. But it won’t make any difference if your mountains doesn’t block vis. If that’s so then the only good option is range.

You might be able to stop it with common/antiportal. It makes like a portal that you can’t see through from anywhere/any angle. It can easily cause hom-effect along with possibly other issues tho. I haven’t seen the map so I can’t tell, but I have warned you. Try it only if you can’t find any other way. This ofc only if you can’t block vis in the place… This is not needed if you can block the vis in the place by a normal method.
