Some people should think about making maps where the allies defend and the axis attack, almost all maps are the other way around! Even on rail gun allies dont really defend one spot, the train moves and such.
Axis attacking
im currently throwing this idea around in my head, possibly a fortification setup by the allies and the axis are pushing to take it from them
now if i only knew how to use radiant worth a damn
Scenarios for attacking Axis,
I’m sure someone must be working on part or all of the battle of the bulge.
A good map for that might be Axis getting past allies to steal fuel, as that was part of the German plans since they lacked the necessary fuel for an extend campaign.
Another good map Idea and one I sure hope on of the more seasoned mappers take on is the battle of Bastogne, I think that really suits itself well to an ET map. “We’re Paratroopers, we’re supposed to be surrounded!”
I have a battle of the bulge map for ET in progress, the axis will be on offense. I should have some early screenshots in a few days.
hey. i’ve been working on an axis offensive map recently that actually does involve fuel raids and ammunition raids as well. i’d be wiling to research the battle of Bastogne and check it out for a map idea, but i’m not going to say i’m any kind of senior mapper
still, if more than one of us are doing it, maybe we should try pitching an allied offensive campaign together? if anyone’s interested, let me know at nix@humanoddity.com
I think that Marko’s trainyard map does what you
mean, both allies and axis need attack to win
and at same time defending their base.
Turk.
Yeah I think that Axis should attack more. Currently I am working on a map where Axis are trying to steal Atomic-Bomb research papers from the Allies.
thats awesome that so many people are using this idea. All of your maps sound awesome and I cant wait for all the new maps to come out!
but is it possible the objective can be move
to the map? I mean i.e the allies have
to shift place, hide some important document
that Axis will try to steal…ehm, i belive this
is a my stupid/idiot question
I was thinking that the papers would be treated like the gold crates in Goldrush, where they have a set location and only axis can move them.
