Axeso5 bringing Dirty Bomb to South America

Since announcing Dirty Bomb and partnering with Nexon and Destiny to operate the game in North America, Europe, Australia and Russia, we’ve had a lot of requests from players to bring the game to South America too. We’re pleased to be able to confirm that exactly that is now happening: We’ve teamed up with Axeso5, one of the most experienced operators in the region, and they will be running Dirty Bomb in all of South America.

If you live in the region and want to help test Axeso5’s Dirty Bomb infrastructure, you can sign up for their upcoming beta test on Axeso5’s freshly launched Dirty Bomb website.

Will South America, North America, Europe, Australia and Russia players all be able to play together?

Also any idea why the Axeso5 sign-up doesn’t include all South American countries, but it does include some outside of South America? (Guyana, Suriname and Spain for example)

That’s actually a pretty good question, and an answer I would like to see as well. Or it will be like Lol, where you can just play with them in competitions and stuff?

I’d totally back up the LoL’s way. It turns out being pretty laggy when you get to play vs ppl far away from the server and I had more than my share of lags with ETQW’s current servers where you can meet people from all around the world sometimes even without their hitboxes.

Yep i played on North America server 1 year, about 200 ping whole time. Its impossible to play shooter between continents Donnovan could say something about it.

I hope they will offer the option to players: If people don’t want to, they could just opt out.
It really depends on the game’s netcode/optimization. Playing with/vs americans has always been part of my gaming culture.

Problem is that when they sell the explo rights to various companies it more than not means they’ll run their thing the way they want to.

I already have a beta key from nexon and i live at Brazil and i can´t play it!! How i can use my beta key in Axeso5 to be able to play the game? Is this possible?

You will have to use a proxy to start the game and authenticate with an American server. Then you can disable the proxy and play. Note that you might get a fair amount of lag though due to the distance. Lag is rarely a good thing in FPS games, even more at the competitive level.

So if you manage to play using this trick, make sure you take lag into consideration before posting your feedback :slight_smile:

I tried to do that, and even though I could authenticate, the game wouldn’t connect :C.

Potty did it many times, it works and you can actually play. I think you have to disable the proxy once you are authenticated

its so weird, i have my own beta key and i received more 3 some time later to give to friends, i give one to a friend and i give other one to an user of this forum.
Now i have 02 keys and i cant play the game. I don´t know if i laugh or if i cry :slight_smile:

Nexon keys will not work for Axeso5’s beta and vice versa. If you’re in South America, you should sign up for Axeso5’s Closed Beta and wait for a key. You will not be able to play Nexon’s version of the beta if you’re in South America as they’re not operating the game there.
