Awfull Performance

(coruscate) #1

Reminder: I don’t want to start a shitstorm here!
I get awfull FPS some times and smaller fps drops in generally.

Specs:

  • AMD Radeon HD 7970 (Formally the r9 270x)
  • AMD FX 6350 (6 core 4 ghz)
  • If necessary i will post more

It is partly unplayable since I got everything on low which doesn’t really affect the frames, the specs are enough to play CS:GO on max settings and BF4/BF3 on ULTRA.
Is there any way to tweak it some more?
Like Configurations (cfgs) or some optimzations in the settings.

Thanks for the response in advanced

Currently the game is lacking optimisation but it should come in future. I would make sure you have “One Thread Lag” turned “ON” and try and make sure you have as little as possible running in the back ground. Currently there is a bug that causes big FPS stutter and drops when people connect to a server and there is nothing we can do about that till SD find a fix.

Upgrade your GPU and maybe get extra RAM if you don’t have 4GB

Otherwise I can give you an FPS cfg

yeah, performance is bad. i can play the game like i do in quakelive ONLY, when i get 250+ FPS, anything lower than 200 FPS is not comfortable.
when i played on previous PC with 70 FPS it was GODDAMN AWFULL
when fps goes to 40 it is a slide show.
i mean if i lock FPS in quakelive at 40 i still can play my game with less accuracy - thats all. i still can do all the jumps, tricks etc. but in DB 40FPS is a misery.

I have basically the same setup as the OP,

AMD A8 Quad-Core 3.0 Ghz,
R9 270x 4GB DDR5
8GB DDR3 System RAM.

Back when I first joined the beta I couldn’t play at all because it was so incredibly laggy both MS and FPS.
Once I got my R9 and a Proper connection I can run at a steady 45-60 FPS which… I dunno about Glottis, Is perfectly playable.

I would look into your card just to cover that basis, From what I know the 270X is the current 7970, Not the other way round as your post seems to state.
If it is not your GPU look into your more basic system configuration, Making sure your card is running properly and you have the correct drivers and so on.

You could even look into using MSI Afterburner or a similar app to better control the output of your GPU.

Just a thought.

when you can play BF4 on ultra, DB should be piece of candy to run. BF4 on high, not ultra is laggier than DB on highest settings for my rig.

#Note: I began highest to lowest settings without restarting the game, FPS can vary
DB Max settings ~80-130
Medium 100-150 (dips sometimes under 100)
Low Over 200-350

GTX 670
i7 4770 @ 3.5
8GB DDR3

I think its good enough to play on medium settings (of course customize it as you want) since it isnt a huge difference between high and medium preset imo.

Are you in a server by yourself when testing these numbers? Try all of the servers out there, not all are created equal…

Then try and measure your FPS with a full server… The Low settings at 200 to 357 will drop to around 100 to 120’s…

I would like to get an FPS config
