Awaiting Gamestate (long)

No way, Monkey Island 2 was 4 disks, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was the 11 disk monster  And yes, shortly thereafter I bought my first 200MB HD for my Amiga, too… and than spent three month trying to install the HD until I finally realized that they hadn’t shipped the disk with the necessary tools to format a HD with Amigas that were sold without a HD (saving 10 cent but increasing customer frustration by 500% !). After I finally got that disk and my HD to run it was like heaven

Way, Monkey Island I was on 4 disks, Monkey Island II (on the amiga at least) came on 11 disks, I never had Fate of Atlantis

sighs all this talk of Amigas brings a tear to my eye…

/meh still has fond memories of learning how to use fast tracker :open_mouth: - that and Sensible Soccer…

You fight like a cow!

But yes, you were right, MI2 is 11 disks

you big poopie head !

(BondyBoy007) #26

I was always a Kick Off/Goal type, I wasn’t fussed on Sensi (but do partake of it nowadays  )

(evilsock) #27

Yup, I played Kick Off/ Goal before Sensi  - whatever happened to ‘StuntCarRacer’ eh?

(BondyBoy007) #28

StuntCarRacer ahh the nostalgia! I remember my mate bringing round his Atari ST and hooking it up to my amiga to play against each other

(evilsock) #29

Well there you go - didn’t know you could link the Amiga version to the ST :open_mouth: - must have been hell for your ST friend though tbh - fancy having to sit there and have his ST look puny against the might and power of the 'ole A500

(BondyBoy007) #30

lol yes I was suprised when the two diff computers could be linked, the game was almost identical on both computers except that the sound on the amiga was better

(SenF|Doddsy) #31

Yeah!! Kick Off 2 - No other football game has even come close to this… Pro Evo Soccer on the PS2 is very good but still not a patch on the Amiga/ST classic…

Stunt Car Racer was cool too…

*natch
