Auto sniper vs Garand on Redeye, opinions?

I personally find that the auto sniper is so much better because of its lower recoil and slightly higher damage meaning you can 1 shot kira and proxy in the head, not to mention that you can 2 shot them with body shots.

I feel that the garand is just too slow and recoil too high to be chosen over the auto sniper.

Anyone else think this?

I prefer the SR, I dislike using the PDP as I lose too much peripheral vision. The only problem really with the SR is the sights seem slightly off.

I like both now, to be honest. It took a while to get used to his rifle but I think both of them have their place. Irons allowing more aggressive play and the PDP allowing traditional sniping. The irons could be better but the gun is still good.

Yeah, using ADS on his gun is not great right now. The PDP is much better at doing the more traditional sniper thing where the Grandeur is more useful in CQC. So there is some tradeoff but I personally prefer the PDP or Dreiss right now simply because both are more effective at their particular uses where the Grandeur is some weird stopgap between the two that doesn’t quite work.

The recoil is too large when ads’d to be good. The hipfire spreads too large to be good. And the slow firerate means that you’ll lose a lot of face fights unless you’re peeking a shot every now and then.

THe PDP’s zoom isn’t even that huge, like the other two snipers. It’s almost like normal ADS zoom, not to mention its ability to 1-2 shot 90hp classes, which is why I feel that the garand is kind of underpowered/weak

i hate the auto sniper so much on him… got 4 gold PDP loadouts trying to get the garand on him and so far no luck… Im using a bronze garand loadout on him atm its a really good gun for me at all ranges.

I find quite the opposite lol. With PDP I rek at all ranges but hey that’s just me. You should check out my post on here about the PDP and all snipers. It’s called all snipers need a nerf.

I, personally, love the Grandeur. It’s the sheer power that makes the gun for me. I’m usually quite close to the action, where its hip fire remains accurate for 2 - 3 shots. My aim isn’t amazing by any stretch of the imagination, but good enough to where I can win most of the scraps I get into at that range.

Now, it is odd that a semi-auto marksman rifle would function best at close range, but that’s how it is. It doesn’t do poorly at long range either, though. It’s that murky medium range area where you’re too close to ADS but too far away for precise hip fire that really hurts.
