Australian Server's Recent Dilemma

I am not at all a racist, and I make this post with no intentions of offending anybody

I’ve been spotting a recurring trend in the past week or two within the Australian Servers. 90% of our servers are flooded with players from Asia, which ruins the gameplay as players lagging around are a lot harder to hit, and it can get frustrating.

9 out of 10 times, my games will look something like this (ping wise)

Dirty Bomb has its own Asian servers that they can use, however from what I’ve been told by the people in my games, the “Quick Join” feature is placing them in Australian Servers rather than Asia Servers.

As harsh as it sounds, I would personally like servers to have a ping limit, as this really does destroy the gameplay. The problem I see with this is some regions may not have enough servers to hold its player base, which could be the reason why Australia is receiving a lot of foreign players connecting to our servers.

Has anything along the lines of this been brought up before @RazielWarmonic ?

Dont feel so bad im in US east and keep getting put in eu and south america servers on quick join. At least the South American servers are in us east coast and I know enough of the bad words in Spanish to understand when they curse out teamates.

I’m a player from Asia myself, I can confirm that Quick Join is definitely bad and can connect us to Australian or even US East servers.

Stay off competitive until the devs can get a good server location(current server location is in Singapore), the one that is as good as Verdun’s ones and we desperately need better net coding for the game.

Yeah that’s an old problem bro haha. It’s been happening since I started playing the game last July. I think I reported it back in December as well. No word on it yet though unfortunately :frowning:

Edit: I don’t even use Quick Join because of this. I can try and join an objective game in Australia and get put into an empty US East server, even though there is 4/12, 6/14 and 9/16 Australian objective servers running for instance. It makes no sense at all.

Yea I know it’s old, but I would only ever encounter maybe 3-4 high ping players at one time. At the moment im getting 8v8 games with minimum 10 players 200+ ping

I think it’s just the REV update. The playerbase has grown a lot since that event started. We’ve almost doubled in servers running every night since it began, so naturally you’re seeing more people from these areas as well as Australians.

But you are right, it is retarded, and needs to be changed.

I wish there was a ping limit as well. I get tired of being bent over by teleporting people I can’t hit but they sure as hell can hit me. It’s an unfair advantage.

Aus servers are in Singapore afaik, and SA servers are in US

Aus servers are in Aus. Aus ranked servers are in Singapore.

The problem is quick join, which will be removed / heavily edited in the near future (I think, please correct me if I’m wrong).

The only thing we, the players, can do is not use quick join :neutral:

‘Asian gamers’ aren’t a race. You can’t be racist by not liking them.
I understand and fully agree with you. The game is so insanely unfair if it comes to lag compensation. Laggers kill you behind corners because you are not behind it for them, but you can’t kill them behind corners, because they’re alredy behind it for you.
I also hate people from America, Russia, and Asian countries who join EU while having their own regions.

I join AUS server when Asia servers are all full (my ping is 150 tho).

You have to be very carefully what you say nowadays because of the fucking overzealous SJW. On topic I definitely agree with op. I also don’t use quick join anymore , it’s annoying when you are in the EU and are sent to an US server

I play in EU, and i completely stopped using quick join for this specific reason. Despite having tons of EU servers it was likely to put me into russian or murican servers with 100-200 ping, which is nonsense. At the same time, i can always find a server in the half-arsed server browser (referring to the amazing 11/12 server full schenanigans-.-")
So yeah, quick join is pretty terrible atm.
