By this I mean that you should have to wait a small amount of time (<1 second) after being shot in order to begin healing. This would prevent you from having to first shoot the health station, and then the player who has a massive advantage because you had to take time and bullets to destroy the healing station.
Aura's healing station shouldn't give health instantly.
Would kinda kill the whole usefulness of it. Makes Aura literally worthless for anything but Knife Parties. SawBonez is already beating her out in Comp Play, she really don’t need help xD
You can still overload the healing effect with constant headshots, no healingstation will heal a sniper headshot, explosives will destroy the healingstation and quite often the person standing on it.
The point of the healingstation is that it gives a strong positional advantage you have to overcome it either by dedicated abilities (explosives), smart play (tricking people into leaving the healingstation) or brute force (headshots, concentrated fire, shooting the healing station).
The healingstation is fine and does exactly what it is supposed to do.
I main Aura in comp play and I echo the sentiment above. Take away the healing stations ability to instaheal and you essentially turn Aura into a Sparks where your only use is to revive. Saw is hands down the best comp medic and since teams cant have more than one of the same merc it mostly suggests Aura to run as medic #2. The station provides the team a legitimate tactical usage on the battlefield. You throw one of those suckers in a nice savvy spot that offers your team an effective CoF with max mobility and you essentially just created a wicked choke point for the enemy team.
They are not to be feared though. Their positions are easily known (weird how there are 3 people hovering in that spot…/bright red circle), they are easily destroyed by explosives (weeee goes the frag grenade/nader grenade/proxy mine/arty strike), for w/e reason an airstrikes range on deployables increases to +1,000,000 so bye bye savvy spot.
Lastly, a lot of people dont know how to play with the station. They’ll throw it down behind a corner and leave it there and never pick it back up and wait 15s to throw another one down while their team screams at them to drop it and you’re like “WAIT GAIZ I GOTZ 10 MORE SEXS” and you’re team gets fragged to poop and you lose. So go away with your nonsense.
Let’s call her Sawbonez 2 if we implent this…
Honestly… Yes, it is a disadvantage for you to first destroy the station, but if you play smart/together with your own medic, you’ll be fine. Don’t be afraid to rush in to a just-placed health station, as the medic then needs to wait for 25(?) seconds before being able to replace it. Believe me… Sometimes those seconds are crucial to a defuse or not (for example).
Something needs to change, the healing station is too powerful right now. It’s a major game mechanic atm, not a class feature. It should be something people go to in order to heal themselves not stand on in the middle of a fire fight.
i got to agree on this one it’s kinda boring when they just run behind a corner and get 100% of health instantly because the heal is so fucking fast.
at least with sawbonez the heal isnt so fast and also people camping on there like a rhino with 2 heal station is so lame

I don’t see the problem. You guys just need to make sure to have explosives on you. Wether it’s sticky bombs, frag grenades, etc. (But not mines, as these are hard to destroy health stations with.) The health stations will blow up. Though you should avoid any fight where you aim for the person, while on a health station. Most of those fights you will lose… If they run after you, you might have a chance to kill them, without them getting any health. Besides. Aura has absolutely no health, so she can win fights with her health station. The only way she has a chance to win a fight…
Even when other medics are on free rotation there are still AT LEAST 2-3 auras in every match and any team without one struggles to hold points. She is easily the most played medic if not the most played class, the proof is there. Her station is simply too powerful. Sawbonez and Sparks can’t even remotely compare and the solution clearly isn’t to buff them.
Arty’s ammo station isn’t a game changer, it’s just a more convenient (obvious) place to get more ammo. There is no real tactical benefit to simply standing on it while shooting. Aura’s station should be comparable.
Conqelson, your lack of actual knowledge is showing…
Arty throws ammo packs, just like Skyhammer. Kira is the one with the Ammo Station.
And Aura’s healing station is fine. There’s full second delay after she deploys it. It takes only ~5 shots to destroy it, after which you have an Aura who can only revive.
It is extremely easy to identify when an enemy Aura Station is in the area, and at that point, do more than Call of Duty rush right at your enemy and try to spray first. Heaven forbid you tactically navigate your way around the other way or prioritize shooting the station, instead of deliberately engaging in a firefight of attrition that you by now know you’re probably going to lose.

The point stands, you can’t compare the two stations. It’s pretty obvious another nerf is coming Aura’s way. If you haven’t glanced around on the forums, the OP and I are scarcely alone in our concerns. Aura may be less viable in competitive mode but she’s a pubstomper and it’s regular players that are paying for this game. Phantom wasn’t much trouble in competitive either but look where he is now, over nerfed. Rather than deny there is a problem (while you likely play Aura yourself) you should be offering constructive feedback on how the problem can be fixed. There doesn’t need to be a major nerf, just a slight reduction in regeneration, a slight delay in regeneration or the like.
Do you have any ideas yourself or just stubborn whining?
The constructive feedback is that, there is a slight delay in regen, when she puts the station down. Also, easily destroyed by explosives.
The only way constructive feedback for the problem is going to happen is to agree that there is a problem. When clearly, there isnt. Just cause you and the OP and an invisible amount of people say there is, doesnt make it true.
My idea is simply to get better at killing a 80HP merc and her ability, bruh.

I think my above stated comment, sums it up…
my problem with the station is that it just adds too much to deal with that my ammo count cannot take.
@Conqelson Last time I checked the ammo station is from Kira, while Arty has ammo packs…?

f you’d like, I can make some videos demonstrating how easy it is to deal with Aura stations - in pub games especially, since that’s where the regular players that pay for this game are.
Any abilities with high damage work wonders versus the healing station camping aura & co, my personal favorite, the grenade launcher!
I’m waiting with an unshakable interest for the time Molotovs are introduced back into the game and we’ll see how they play out against healing stations and people circlejerking them. Any closed beta/alpha players to point out did healing nullify fire damage until station was burned down or was it even possible to destroy with fire?
