Audio Going Out Frequently And Staying Out

(gleefulChestnut) #1

Since I started playing, I’ve noticed that the audio goes out and comes back in aka stuttering. However, recently the audio goes out and stays out. When I close the game I notice my computers audio goes out and is sent into a very sluggish state. I try to close everything out, but it does not matter. I end up having to restart my computer EVERY SINGLE TIME I play this game. I would also like to mention that no other game causes this besides Dirty Bomb.

So if this continues, I’m going to have to stop playing. Even though I do not want to I will have no choice but to stop for my computers sake. This is my first time posting so I have no idea where to post this. I do apologize if this thread is in the wrong section.

EDIT: I have to restart my computer again =/.

I had the same issue playing on my laptop (not gaming desktop). I usually was able to solve it by signing out and then back in. I’ve confirmed it is caused by DB, no other game does it and the issue is non-existent otherwise. It usually is when the map starts loading at the beginning of a match, right after the lobby ends. It causes the audio driver to crash is what it appears to be.

(yes I know it’s a potato)

I doubt it’s my pc. Like I’ve tested this with many other games and my audio is fine. Games that actually require more than Dirty Bomb but there seems to be no solution. So I am going to have to stop playing, sadly.

It would be awesome if you could post your specs.
Also, are you playing on a laptop?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game
