Audigy 2 Platinum + XP + ET

I play a lot of time ET with an Audigy X-Gamer With XP and geforce 2 mx 400 and a day… I installed Update for XP. After that ET crahs when i try to execute it and my system Reboot by itself. Every time i went to play… a fresh installation was needed. And some time, the game crashed at profile window when i was clicking on the space for my nick…

Now ( since today :smiley: ) I have Audigy 2 Platinum with ATI radeon 9500 pro and the same problem is here and when my fu***ing computer shut down by itself … I need to reinstall MediaSoure of Audigy 2 or it make my system to reboot to when i try to change EAX effect.

:banghead: I used to have that problem with old voodoo cards, I would get a new game or a update for windows and Bamm!!! everytime reboot happened.

:smiley: you might also want to check your audio codec’s. sometimes the sound card you have installed may switch the order of them. try making the microsoft default one as the first one. that also may cause a crash or sudden reboot.
