Waiting for at least releasenotes, some reports would be nice as well
Who’s biting?

(tokamak) #3

Can’t say I noticed much of a difference.

(Je T´aime) #4

I´ve installed it and fps the same 20 fps ish with no shadows and all details on low , While I can play every other game out there maxed out, I´m kinda disapointed starting to think its hopless.

(tokamak) #5

It’s pretty jading yeah.

(szr) #6

Didnt help, in fact it may have even been worse.

(Ryfje) #7

Seemed worse to me by about 5-10fps, big disappointment.

(legend123) #8

Sigh im about to go online and check but I expect the worst.

I remember the days of W:ET where you needed a BEAST CPU (those days standards) to play it decently.
The game released in 2003 if i remember and i couldnt play it with steady 125 fps until 2007/8.
5 years after the game came out!
(of course some cvars in the config might have helped but CPU was the number one performance booster).

(Miken420) #9

Make sure you guys install the 11.5 CAP5 profiles too.

(Je T´aime) #10

whts that btw

http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/crossfirex-app-profiles.aspx

They contain game fixes that normally aren’t included in the base drivers.

For instance, 11.6 WHQL on the Witcher 2 vs 11.6 + 11.5 CAP5 profiles is like night and day performance/glitch wise.

Thats only for CrossFire though. It wont have any effect on single card users.

(Wezelkrozum) #13

Are there any improvements for the AMD Radeon HD 6850 with this update?

(legend123) #14

Just a question to those who played ET:QW and W:ET…

Was ETQW as CPU dependent as W:ET was?

I mean not sheer power but how much the game performed better with a cpu.
(CPU > graphics cards when it came to W:ET)

(Humate) #15

Drivers still crash on map change

(Miken420) #16

Make sure to disable RadeonPRO too while running Brink.

(tokamak) #17

Nope. and then some extra characters to please the almighty forum gods.
