I’ve had this happen to me before… It fixed itself within a few minutes… no idea what caused it.

Wow…

Not saying that’s your problem, but you are really behind lol :stuck_out_tongue:

no offense/defense:

i like windows 98 much more than the new stuff where lots of unnecessary features destroy your PC

that’s kinda weird, cause other guy got kicked for same problem on my noquarter 1.2 server.

Try latest version NoQ (1.2.0) and if problem still persist then report bug here:
Forum for NoQ bug reporting

i use /bind ctrl “+attack2;weapalt” wich works fine for me even on NQ, although NQ tells me that wepalt is obsolete it still works

– Well, in fact, windows 98 has more chance to crash/damage your hardware then XP. I’m not the only one that will say this, go to some computer-nerds-forum and you’ll see people saying stuf like :Vista! becasue XP was too good for microsoft! They have a reason for saying this

try deleting your NQ folder and redownload it?

offtopic … lol who said it to you???
… I use a PC like a PC not a “click all buttons” - PC

my PC only crashes when surfing on dangerous websites.
and never got damaged. it is older than 7 years now!
-> dont wanna make a discussion out of it xD

ontopic: tried all… as flippy said… it solved itself, i dunno why

Going offtopic aswell;

As a System Administrator(IT sector), I must say that although XP still has it’s leaks/ security issues, it still is way more stable than Windows 98. If you don’t like the theme of XP(because you’re used to 98), then you can easily change this.
Everytime your system crashes/get’s a bluescreen(deadly:)), you will be forced to turn off/on your computer, most computers don’t like this, which decreases the lifetime of your computer(like Miki stated).

I would recommend you to upgrade to Windows XP, if your computer can handle that ofcourse.

Ontopic,
You said ET crashed when you typed ‘/bind mouse2 +attack2’(followed by an enter I assume), this tells me that it’s not NQ that’s the problem but your ET client. Unless you meant your client crashed after actually pressing the mouse2 button after using that bind.
Although that seems highly unlikely cause I really don’t know how NQ could make mistakes related to a clientcommand, unless the server crashed, then it means that there’s proberly something wrong in the ‘special attack’ function in NQ.

Check if this problem still occurs using another computer, with the same installation, config and the same server.
