Its an easy question
I have in my computer a ATI Radeon X9800 Series
The answer probably will be no, but will brink work in my computer?

No, this is below the minimum, sorry:(

wow classic.

6 years odd card.

I believe you mean the x800? or X1800?

Either way, if you have to ask, just buy an xbox already. If you think an 8 year old card will run a game today you’re done with PCs.

I have a HD5870 and it barely runs on my computer. Not at any sort of enjoyable framerate anyways.

Thats your system , broseph!

I have a 5870 and get over 60fps @ 1920x1200 all settings on high, HBAO off, vertical sync off. It dips to 30ish on Security Tower, but other than that it flies!!!

Use the ati uninstall tool, tick the option to fully remove the install. Reboot and reinstall your drivers, check you have the latest windows updates, make sure you dont have viruses or spyware.

Your graphics card is ok, but how about your ram, cpu or motherboard?

That card runs the game fine, not as well as BC2 or Quake Wars, but your performance with the same card I have tells me it is your system. Good luck :penguin:

I’m not getting that with the same card + a ~20% overclock on liquid.

And I’m only on 1680 X 1050. (Using an opteron hexacore (Lisbon) here so that’s not a problem.)

Vertical sync’s on though as tearing sucks.

It’s only a matter of time when the drivers get fixed and the game more optimized. Everyone should have been able to run this like your system does. A major hit for mine is that it’s been a month and there’s still no crossfire support.

I have the same card, did you tried to turned off motionblur, vsync, abient occlusion etc. ?

You might need to keep “how would it run w/o oc ?” in your list of possible source of low performance.

('2 cents)

Btw, it seems the problem is mostly on the software (driver) side, not on the raw-power of your graphic card.
