[ATI Graphics Card] Having framerate, sound, and invisible player issues

(Armysblood) #1

I have an ATI HD 5570 graphics card and usually, when I start the game, the fps on the main menu seems to be very stable. After using the matchmaker, my fps dropped from over 60, to under 10 fps… Frame rate drops are also shown during a match as well, with probably 40-20 fps on the lowest settings. There are also times when the sound would just stop playing, and there would be invisible players everywhere. Is there anyone else with this kind of issue or it’s just me?

Processor - AMD 9750 Quad-Core Processor, 2.40 GHz
RAM - 8.00 GB
Video Card - ATI HD 5570
64-bit OS

I have the exact same problem(s) with my 6950.

(Armysblood) #3

Ahh, guess i’m not the only one

P.S. - Sorry moderators, should’ve posted just 1 issue instead of 4

(donatom3) #4

I haver a 6950 too. I am usually around 30 fps, and I notice one thing is that my Afterburner is showing that my GPU is only running at around 40%, and I have a single gpu setup. I think there could be the problem.

Same Issues for me. I have to play the game in window to actually have some fun. The only way I can play this game. The window is sooo small too. Once I go up to 1920x720 its HORRIBLE for me.

I don’t think the invisible player issue is caused by an ATI problem. When players become invisible, their name also disappears from the player list too, so it seems more likely a game bug than a rendering bug. The sound also stopped working when they disappeared for me too.

have u tried unlocking you frame rate through the console?

(53880) #8

rofl man, had the same surprise as you

Everything looked smooth and working properly on the menu screen, then lo&behold, in game I drop to around 20 - 40 fps

Running a 5870M on i7 too xD pretty disappointed in the game’s optimization

(Quad) #9

Same problem here. Framerate wildly fluctuating, usually sticking around 20-40, 20-60 on occasion. Makes the game nearly unplayable. Grid effect also in full force. This happens on pretty much any setting. Runs smoothly at menu with minor fluctuations.

Having issues with invisible players, sound, text glitches in both russian and english versions of game.
NVIDIA Geforce GTS450, not ATI.
Invisible team, people talking about this bug and sound bug in comments.

I also had the invisible players and no sound bug when trying to play online. Not all the time, but it happened.

Also yeah offline solo(!!!) and online just lags -_- and it really should not. I have a ATI5870 i7 4gb of ram

I can help with that, there’s 1 map called Section 18 that has a sound bug + invisible players. Anyone in the room is effected by it, probably at the same time as I heard
