Assuming a DLC costs 15 dollars..... DLCs worth it?

Tbh, I’d pay £6~ ($10) for the DLC. It’s more about whether people liked the core game or not. I mean if these are the kind of people who absolutely detested Brink for what it was, then a DLC pack isn’t going to really change much. It’s just extra content after all.

I’m still buying it  but please… [capslock]NO DELAY FOR PC[/capslock]

No dlc is ever worth 15.

Kinda wish brink was dystopia. Great class/obj game with a good, fair upgrade system but with too small a player base.

This kind of comment always irritates me. You make it sound like Splash Damage are inherently at fault for the delay and subsequent confusion surrounding the DLC PC release.

You do realise that they did the same thing they did for 360 and PS3, right? Submit it to the company that handles the respective system and set a date for release.

It’s not like they can be blamed for Valve being an American company, and as such for it to be released at ~2 PM their time. Nor can they be blamed for the Steam issues regarding a DLC that releases free of charge (something I can’t recall happening on Steam before).

Remember DLC means just downloadable content. If it contains enough, it can become an add-on almost de facto.
The price is highly dependent on what’s inside…

For this DLC, considering that there are 2 maps, 5 new abilities, and 2 weapons attachments, it allows for more experimenting to find tactics and stuff, I think it’s worth 10$.

Like a strogg would vsay (sigh), “I’ve seen worse”.

Also, testing the pyro stuff and liking it so far.

This DLC and probably even the next DLC should be free to re-win and to attract more and new players to the game.

Beside that, the SDK is important too, to keep the player count at a high level, although the SDK I would set on priority level 2.

On level 1 I would like to see another free DLC/or alternatively new maps and very much requested, the linux dedicated binaries!!
the majority of people dont care about the outfits, abilities and weapon attachments.

all they see is two new maps. for 10 bucks they will rip brink’s dlc to shreds. a propriate price for the dlc would be 5 bucks.

i also think with the current retail price for brink at steam there wont be many people who buy brink in the future. 30 bucks for brink would be appropriate, maybe even less.
They don’t care about the abilities?

I could understand the costumes, but the abilities and the attachments are AWESOME!

I think what kilL means is that with the Outfits, Abilities and Attachments you will mess around with them for a while and once you figure out whether you like them or not you then don’t really play around with them again. Maps on the other hand always offer new possibilities, as players always can and will do different things.
