Guess how many new year celebrations there will be, if you count on entire countries in Asia.
I am South Korean, so why don’t we have KR promotion or event soon in Feb?

I’m just asking because most games that have asia servers are celebrating the event by having ingame items/skins etc. Big games like Dota and smaller ones, a mobile game called Vainglory among so many others are celebrating the holiday too.
Haha and I’m just asking if it’ll happen, I wasn’t demanding that it should.
If they did do a Chinese new year event, everyone benefits and plus, it might attract players into dirty bomb. No offense but the games I’ve played that has servers all around the world, almost never celebrates Korean festivals so how is that a valid argument?
I’m not saying that there shouldn’t be a KR celebration by any means, we’d all benefit from the event if there is. However, a KR celebration is basically targeted at possibly, only South Korea.
CNY is different, you’re targeting at China, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia just to name a few. By no means am I saying that Koreans like yourself isn’t important but I’m just emphasizing that there are many more people who celebrate CNY and therefore a larger potential playerbase to be attracting from.
All in all, its just a simple question to the devs @ThunderPro, if it happens, everyone’s happy and if it doesn’t then no harm done as well!

The odds of this happening are even lower than the chances of getting a special loadout from an event case.

Oh come on. It was total sarcasm.
Gotta remind you that this game is targeted EU and NA only, definitely not Asia.
That’s why they don’t really care about Asia server’s state, including China.
Asia server already has the minimum amount of matches, has even less population than South AM and AUS. There is no reason for them to target any of these people at least for marketing purpose.
If SD was going to do so, then they might have fixed those han zi or other language nickname problems which all turns in to squares in game.

We did not have anything for the western New Year. Doubtful Asia will get something.

Chinese newyear theme, would be awesome, I brought it up in a stream they said it was unlikely.

I doubt there would be that much of a special event for a specific country besides maybe a post on facebook of a character having stuff photoshopped onto them.
For example, how on 4th of July Phantom was posted with stuff skewered through his sword, a chef’s apron, a chef’s hat, etc.
They’ll likely have very special events on every other international holiday.
