id like to convert some of my ase models to md3, can this be done without a full on 3d modelling program like 3dsmax, a simple program would be great. reason is i tend to use q3radient for mapping as i prefer it to gtk
ase to md3?
Q3Data, which ships with Radiant does ASE->MD3 conversion.
Have you tried the latest release of GtkRadiant? It uses GTK+ 2.0, which can be themed to look like Win32/XP.

How do I use Q3data, is there a manual somwhere that I haven’t found yet?
I have the Q3data.exe and qdt.
How can anyone prefer the old buggy Q3Radiant? You really should give GTK a try and it it is just the looks that bothers you you can always use GTK+ to reskin it as ydnar, may he live forever, said.

Create a batch file as follows:
c:…[path to q3data.exe]…\q3data.exe c:\games\quakeI~1\baseq3…[path to *.qdt]…*.qdt
Create a .qdt file of a list of ase’s that need to be converted as follows:
$aseconvert models/…[path to .ase]…/.ase
Note the forward slashes in the .qdt file.
Change the …[*]… accordingly.
the procedure entry point libiconv_set_relocation_prefix could not be located in the dynamic link library iconv.dll.
Did I break it?
I have GTK 1.3.12, I’m trying to do this in EF.
the .bat is in the radiant 1.3 folder.
First is gave me an error that it couldn’t find the iconv.dll so I searched my PC for it and found it in the GTK Radiant 1.3 folder. and also in the folder that I downloaded an earlier Q3map2(2.5.6). I put the iconv.dll from that older q3map2 folder into the radiant 1.3 folder.
