Sure Fragger is cool. But People will split between Fragger and Stoker in week 5. Which make it worse for one merc to beat those 2.

Let me tell you how this plays out depending on who wins week 4:

• Fragger - competes with Stoker, Proxy as the only engineer and crowd favorite
• Kira - Proxy again
• Red Eye - you guessed it, Proxy
• Fletcher - who knows? he will probably steal enough from Proxy that the battle will be between Stoker and Vassili

I have a confession to make. I played Vassili yesterday and I liked it. HBS is great, quickscoping instead of jumpsniping is fine for a scrub like me. But the biggest difference is the machine pistols - ye gods, it’s so easy to push with him compared to the other two recons. I feel much safer. If only all those level-4-just-bought-my-first-mec-guess-who-it-is knew that.

Basically what I’m saying is that I’m OK with anyone winning. But only Fletcher can make week 5 interesting, the rest is just going through the motions waiting for Proxy to win.

But I really wish I’m wrong and Stoker wins

Vassili or Stoker. They both had close percentages on their respective weeks. And I put the skin for myself so i just have to see the gun why would I care about seeing other people skin upclose. With this logic everyone should be shotgunning.
I dont really cares who win as long as it is not proxy. And if Fletcher isnt on the ride she will win.

TO BE CLEAR: I was not saying that the mercs themselves are unfun: I was saying that those particular mercs are the most unfun to have in a free rotation, when inexperienced low-level players pick them up and run around causing chaos, dropping proxymines, camping at spawn, flinging stickies, not knowing what they’re doing, and getting lots

I know first-hand that Fletcher is fun to play and can be a strong team player in the right hands, I just don’t like the idea of him contributing to the already-sketchy noobfest that Week 5 is shaping up to be.

However, @Matuno has made some compelling points about causing a split vote between Fletcher and Proxy, and if that split vote means that there’s an actual chance to get a badass Stoker loadout, then I am more than willing to comply and keep Fletcher in my squad all week anyways. Not many people seem to agree with me on this anyhow, "^.^
