Artistic side of BRINK

(SebaSOFT) #1

Hi guys

I was wandering about the artistic side of BRINK. I saw that is really a huge investment for Splash Damage to put this game with a really distinctive look and feel. A lot of time and resources seems to be spent into making the game (and I do stand for the phrase in my sig). But I can’t contain my worries for this to not see much life and be occluded by other titles like the next vomit of Fallout.

How do you feel about this? It’s the art effort a little too much for what’s coming in the publishing/marketing side?

peace

Thats rediclous the art effort in brink is how it should be in every game.

Games are art my freind and brink will be a masterpeice.

I agree, even though they aren’t advertising it like other games do the money their saving on advertising is being well used.
I wish most game creators had the bravado of Splash Damage.
This won’t feel like a waste to me when I get it and start it up.

And if their game is really quality, like I think it is. It won’t matter if they advertised it, word of mouth will get it around. I don’t remember TF2 being advertised and Valve made their money back.

And actually a lot of game magazines and websites are pretty hyped over Brink.

The reviews and opinions of those in gaming related media will provide all the advertising they need. Also, there is still ample time to produce and execute a quality advertising campaign.

Not sure I follow the logic. You are thinking the artwork is too good for the amount of advertising? I don’t see a relationship there, they each stand alone.
