Aren't skins ugly and boring ?

In my opinion DB has very little variation in its skins, and is soon going out to run out of ideas. Because they’re careful to preserve each merc’s unique silhouette, the only thing that really changes is colors. And even the colors are limited, because orange must be visible on enemies.

So we have skins like “brown”, “yellow”, “blue”, “yellow on dark grey” (The glorious Containment War skins!!!), “light grey”, “light green”…

Why are people so excited over this ? Because they’re rare ?

What if some skins had unique accessories ? Kira could wear stuff like this

Ehhh, I mean you do have a point. But now people are gonna complain even more about the possibility if you add different appearance designs therefore reducing the percentages of every loadout rarity even more.

I would definitely prefer proper skins that actually changed the outfit/look of mercs over what we have now, but I still like what we have now.

I would think changing too much might make it difficult to identify the merc, especially for new players. Be cool if cards could change “more” stuff in the game e.g. special ability stuff. Also I hear a lot of people are holding out for pink cards too. lol

Not just for new players, but for everyone that did not have seen that skin yet.

Did few rounds on CSGO yesterday, after two full weeks of Dirty Bomb.
Won’t touch CSGO again.
I prefer a fun game to a fancy skin.
(not that csgo skins are so awesome, most of them sucks)

I actually don’t think that the skins are ugly.
The low tier ones are, but that’s the point. If you prefer fancy skins, then you will try to get the Gold and Cobalt skins. If you don’t, you’ll get a Bronze because it has 3 arguments.

I’m actually not interested in anything above silver. Gold is tacky AF and colbalt just doesn’t do anything for me.

Get a silver, add a little touch of red for weapons, a little touch that mean, Hey I hurt! And I’m ok with that.
Silvers are nice. Cobalts, well I like that color, just that.
Not a Gold fan.

I have said before that combining the skins with the loadouts into one package is an awful business idea, because you can’t sell people custom show-off looks without messing up the whole lottery package thing. I would much rather spent 5€ on a really awesome skin than on a bunch of lottery tickets. Who even plays lottery? Stupid people with no concept of probability.
I spent 9€ on a hero skin in Hearthstone, payed with money for the adventure card sets, but I never bought a single card pack. Because the card packs are garbage 80% of the time!
Same thing here, I’ll never buy a loadout box. But I might buy a merc, or a loadout from the shop (I havn’t yet).

As it stands right now, all the mercs look the same to me. I only notice the bling cards in the killcam stills. In match all the mercs might as well be brown. So I have zero incentive to even care about loadouts past bronze. You’re not getting any money out of me at this rate.

The skins are OK. Silver carbon is a cool skin and Swiss red and Crown gold are also really cool. Cobalt however need a 3rd camo option. Bronze has 1, silver has 2, gold has 3 and for some reason cobalt has 2?! That is my only gripe.
