I figure a issue new players will have, as what title says. Some people don’t know if they are in attacking team or defending in the lobby. Here is the way you can figure it out. Very Simple.

If you are at the top team, you are attacker.
If you are at the bottom team, you are defender.

If you find this information useful, don’t forget to tell your friends who don’t know it yet.

It also says what team you are on when you are loading the map.

CDA - Defending.
Jackal - Attacking.

except when the match has already started, then the loading screen always says CDA
