I know you can simulate halos with the corona entity, but can you get the dope-ass q3f stuff?

Its done via a SFX shader that is blended, in ET there is just one color of that to mess with not like Q3 who had alot of thoose blends.

yes you can do it in ET, if fact you’ve been able to do it in the original RtCW, it’s an entity called something like misc_corona

coronas work at that size and with sun? didn’t know that and they never looked near to that picture… how do u do it?
Ah, I know the corona entity. It just makes a flat quad with an autosprite shader applied to it, right? Can I adjust what that shader is? I mean, the default corona shader doesn’t really look like a lens flare from the sun. Also, how can you make the corona entity line up correctly with the sun in your sky?
Im not sure about different shaders with the corona entity…guess thats another thing I need to play with.
You can just create an autosprite texture to use for glow effects and such, I use them in my current map.

The disadvantage in using autosprites is that they don’t scale relative to your distance from them like coronas do.
There’s no current way in ET of getting the skyportal sun effect shown in that Q3F shot - not that you should really want to, WW2 soldiers didn’t generally view the world through a lens while fighting in the trenches
