Are people invicible for few seconds when revived?

Hi Guys, I wanted to ask. If someone gets revived or specifically if a phoenix revives himself… Is he invincible for a few seconds? One guy got up and I sprayed my whole clip into him and he didnt lose any HP. This seemed insane considering I just killed him and he gets revived to full HP, to then… have my bullets cause him no damage for a couple seconds? Is this really how it works?
It feels similar to when someone spawns in (at spawn) and they are invisible for few seconds (unless they shoot), does that same principle apply to players after they are revived? Surely we should be able to take down their HP straight away?

Yup, and it sucks, you should only be invincible to damage for a few seconds when you spawn not when you have been revived.

If you hit them while they are in the process of standing up they still have their downed health, once they are upright and have the shield over their head they are invincible.

Ive lost count of the amount of times Ive been part way through finishing a player with my gun, when it starts to reload and then they get revived before I think to swap weapons and finish the job. Gets very annoying.

2sec, but if you try to plant or shoot, it will dissapear

ok, thanks guys I thought i was tripping or somthing… So strange that it works that way. Could it be an accident? Surely they didnt design it that way? I really hope they change it

It’s designed that way, most likely so that revived players don’t instantly die as soon as they get up.

Or take any sort of Ability action. It’s meant for the just-revived to get to cover and reenter the fight from there.

Maybe you should have paid attention to the health bar and stopped shooting at him when you saw the health bar not decreasing, then?

Oh, and it’s called a magazine (or a “mag”), not a clip. You fucknugget.

No. Upon being revived and having performed your “getting up” animation, you’re invulnerable for 1 second - regardless of what you do. It’s a static 1 second invincibility. Always.

To be a bit more specific: You can still be finished AFTER having been revived. There’s a 0,7 second (may be 0,4 not entirely sure right now) threshold before invincibility kicks in, hence the “getting up”.

It’s so you can run into cover after being revived. Pretty sure it’s worked the same in Battlefield. If it keeps happening during a match just shoot at them while down, there’s no way they’ll be revived if you keep blasting them.
