I don’t think I’ve played a FPS where they’re not prohibited.

Only macros that should be alowed is for the taunts imo or sd should add a way to bank your favorites

Like hit one of the unsed keys for your most used like medic and thanks and ammo screw you ect.

I’d have to imagine they would be not allowed. Being able to program click intervals means you can fire guns moronically fast… Which could potentially break the game, and is borderline cheating.

I had a friend that did this in Rainbow Six with Buck’s DMR just to test it out, and he was unkillable. A single mouse click and the person was met with a tidal wave of rifle bullets in the blink of an eye.

That being said, I also agree with the above, being able to program the macro keys on my keyboard to be V+9+4 or whatever taunt would be better than hunting and pecking those out in the middle of a round. It’s really awkward to die while taunting someone when you killed them.

I remember reading on this forum, that a developer confirmed that autofire macros earn you an instant ban. They are easy to detect, and give the user a huge advantage over the other players.

As @Mc1412013 mentioned, binding taunts/voice commands (such as V21) is fine, a lot of players are doing this - including myself.

lots of people bind longjump to a key. wouldnt ever do it myself, but i suppose thats fine

I already do that on my mouse. Binding is allowed. Binding keys is different than macros

I use “alt” as my binded key for long jumping. I also plan on maybe binding a taunt or two later. Binding is totally fine.

That’s fine, there are threads in this forum explaining how to do the key bind (takes some config magic). Been doing it for a long time. Some people consider it lame, but not cheating.
