Are exclusive weapons timed exclusives?

(LyndonL) #41

You’re REALLY that upset that you don’t have a crappy Cacodemon bandana? Eugh man…

(Bagnol) #42

Oh yeah, thanks for simplifying it for me, that’s exactly what I mean.
I got say… it’s about choice not need.

Simply because for fully experience the game I just need the basic copy, sort of like Half life source death match, it costs only 1 dollar and you can experience thousands of mods for free.

I want to buy 2 copies because I can not need, it’s a luxury thing to be able to have the ability to install the game off-line (DVD) and digitally (without any CD or DVD).

I want to give them a donation receiving along 2 copies of their 1st IP (Intellectual Property), Brink! I have thousands of good hours playing their free multilayer (wolfenstein: enemy territory), imo the game still has more team game-play than most recent games like bad company or black ops, they balanced the rambo (aka 1 man army) and team dependency level in 2003. And the proof is that it still has strong active community!

I almost bet you never heard about pirate software… lame

I think M.A.G. did an awsome job with teamplay
Wow, way to completely miss the point I was making. It’s called reading comprehension people. The point I was trying to make is a big part of the game is collecting the different weapons and apparel to mix and match your character’s look and make him unique. If some of those items are held back, I’m going to feel like I’m not given all the options I could have. Brink is constantly advertised on it’s customisation, if the pre-order items are truly exclusive should they not be saying “experience most of the customisation, but not all of it unless you pre-order the game 4 times.”?

Doesn’t matter now anyway I guess, you guys seem to have this obsession with having in-game items others don’t so you can stroke your e-peen and say “I have something you don’t have.”, I’m not going to try to convince you otherwise.
no, the point actually is:

a lot of drama over a new colour hat

(Mad Hatter) #45

I love hats. I just wish I had the money to buy all the hats I wanted. :<

(Nail) #46

myself, I prefer an all cotton, sized black baseball cap, no logo

(II Captain K II) #47

If you really want to help SD out just send them a donation on paypal, since I’m sure they only see about half of the $60 a game sells for

(Nail) #48

don’t help SD, help the world, donate to a children’s education fund in your neighborhood

[edit] oops, that just slipped out, carry on

(Auzner) #49

Marketing doesn’t play games. They think they’ve just invented exclusive card pictures for solitaire here. They didn’t realize multiplayer games can be competitive and aren’t just farmville.

While the exclusive skin/weapon content is rather stupid, you care too much about it. You haven’t played the game yet so you don’t know what you’re getting. I imagine I won’t even be using any of the preorder bonuses since there will be lots of stuff to choose later on. You’re still complaining about a texture amongst millions.

It’s not that none of us haven’t spent 2500 hours playing Wolf ET and don’t know what a MP game should be like. Most of us don’t care and you’re pretty much trolling at this point. We don’t foresee a preorder gun being the supreme choice, or lacking a texture affecting our skill. This isn’t the Sims. Cancel your preorder and get Sims Medieval if you care about playing dress up doll so much.

(II Captain K II) #50

No, in all honesty its moronic to buy 2 games period. There is no way to justify it. If you want multiple copies, send SD a donation and then copy/download the game, which eliminates the retailer from the picture. But why the hell would you do that when you could donate the money and do some good in the world? You telling me SD needs that $30 more than starving africans? Lol

(Dormamu) #51

You do not need money to do some good in the world. You could buy your 2 copyes and help the others in other ways.
Love for oneself is greater than love for others…i tell to myself even if i know is wrong… but hey, i’m not perfect… so… i will preorder 1 copy on steam and then buy the colector edition (i need 2 copies coz i like to cheat), then i will be for 2 months a red cross volunteer, if i like it, maybe i will stay more…maybe i will go to Africa to do some field work… who knows.

It doesn’t work like that. the idea of doing a good to erase a bad is a bit of a fallacy, since you could have donated the money AND volunteered for the red cross. Still no way to justify buying multiple copies.

(Nail) #53

3 platforms = 3 copies for me

(BrigandSk(A)) #54

As long as I make my 2nd copy with regular activity that’s it’s not me using, I’m doing good for the person who has full availability of the game to try it out, a full time veteran warrior next to him to help out against multiple enemies (me as medic) and above all these having fun with my trusted friends and family!

:stroggtapir:

(madoule) #55

i’m sorry but it is neither you nor i to judge…

(Auzner) #56

Every copy of Brink ever sold wouldn’t even equal the cost of the yachts some people buy. Trying to entice anyone into humanitarian aid over purchasing a second copy is a bit extreme. Is there something in particular we should be aware of? The last thing I recall hearing about was people in Haiti literally eating mud.

(madoule) #57

you you-tube a lot currently…

what was was the topic again??? :stroggtapir:

(Auzner) #58

(madoule) #59

keep 'em coming, sir!

It’s up to the individual to what they ‘waste’ their money on.
