Yes, as much in common as black and white.
Are Brink & Rage set in the same universe?
Allright, got my answer from a Beth moderator, guess it’s time to close this topic.
no its not.
p.s.
space amazons ?
sounds promising.
i vote for such DLC 4 Brink.
or [nude]poster inside Brink box.
Bumping up a old topic, but I’m starting to think that they are related.
Mokoena sent men to see the outside world and found it was in worst shape then the ark. They were tortured to death to reveal the arks location.
I don’t know, but the world displayed in Rage does look far more dangerous then the world shown in Brink. Just saying :).

Doesn’t really link them much.
For all we know they found future New York and were captured by OCP who tortured them before Robocop could find them (he was distracted by ED-209).
It’d be interesting if they were set in the same universe but I doubt they are and since there are no gameplay implications I don’t see the importance. Of course, if the Rage mutants pitch up on a boat then I’d be singing a completely different tune. But at the moment they’re just to different spins on post apoc.
Also: Brink -> sea levels rise. This would kinda point to Rage being mostly flooded instead of lots of desert (well, that’s the impression I get from teh screenshots).
Rage setting is destroyed by an asteroid. Brink setting is destroyed by extreme climate change and associated problems.
An asteroid that causes extreme climate change? Resulting in Australia turning into a lawless desert filled with maniacs and mutants who battle in cages (Two men enter! One man leaves!).
Brink & Rage & Mad Max are all in the same universe?
And we know there are mutants in Rage and water in Brink so Waterworld is also part of the same universe?
And we know that Predators are drawn to conflict and heat so the Predator universe, and thanks to Alien vs Predator: the Alien universe, are in on it too?
And I’ve definitely seen Hulk Hogan running around the Ark so I guess that pulls in the entire WWF storyline.
And you thought Brink was a new and original IP. It’s just a mashup of everything that was on TV one night when SD were drunk and writing down ideas.
