This occurred after clicking “quick match” while I was in my character profile selecting and turning some of the options on/off, setting the crosshair etc, while the game starting connecting. While I tried to replicate, 2nd time, connection timed out occurred.

Just to let you know this is quite common at the moment, I get this several times on a daily basis.

At the moment I believe the train of thought is that it’s a server side issue because after the servers are rebooted (as they regularly are due to this and other similar “crashes”) then all is well again.

Your best bet is to try another server or to come back later.
