Appaling state of the EU servers

Today’s maintenance didn’t improve the situation.

Just had a game on Objective EU 8v8 11. 2x “connection to server lost” for ~4s but the game recovered and continued. Confirmed both times in chat that it wasn’t only me.

2 hours ago I had the same popup on the mission summary screen but I was leaving the server anyway so I don’t know if it would also recover. I don’t remember which server.

And two kicks due to NGS crash in 30 minutes. Both times ~2 minutes before the end. This shit is getting old…

The servers are still awful tbh. Lag spikes, packet loss and complete disconnects are common place. Makes it incredibly difficult to stay motivated to play atm.

Welp, I appreciate there’s updates but Molotov at least seems much more inconsistent now. In Overground and Market, quite a many, maybe 5/10 aerial throws that explode in midair / hit wall or ceiling leave the worlds tiniest coziest campfire-sized blob of “flame” on the ground instead of the inferno it used to and should. Didn’t bother trying in Stopwatch and Objective after getting connection lost x2.

The worst thing would be underground for example. The doors at the first obj turn invisible and shoot through. you can literally obliterate the enemy without getting a scratch, same for ev missions when people are hiding behind the ev to push it.
So far it happened twice to me in maybe 3 weeks. I have no idea if this kind of glitch can be reproduced at will or how this is even possible.
The only thing that might corelate to it is when the servers are really unstable and you are getting high ping/disconnects. But I’m no tech guy so whatever i say is gibberish anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

Since i dont see any fun in playing like this i just rejoin or change servers, but thats just me so the problem is still pretty severe

I seen an interesting glitch yesterday as well. Rhino with a pdp…oh and mines. The guy claimed he had no idea how it happened. He could be right or he could be a blatant cheat. I reported him anyway.

That particular one sounds quite intense, but I’ve seen this happen with a Sawbonez on an Aura loadout. And it happened to me once on a Pheonix with a Bushwhacker loadout (luckily Kek, so nobody noticed.

I think it’s related to the game lobby bug where you press join and it both registers it and not, trying to log you in while allowing you to still switch your crew out. You’ll end up playing the merc you had in the squad before clicking join, with the loadout of the new merc you switched during that small window you can change. You might want to look into this @NxA_Noxie.

Well, there’s multiple possibilities because it happened to me once a very long time ago, becoming chariots of fire proxy with a k121. I don’t really know, there seems to be a glitch about that. Tribes ascend had similar issues where you could have heavy weapons with light models. But I think it’s not server related, it’s more due to unwanted input possibilities that messes character properties. The join in button appearing again is a bug in the UI.

I suspected it was a bug. However it seems like you can reproduce it which means people could abuse it which is what I think the guy was doing with the rhino with the pdp. To coincidental that he had the merc with the biggest health pool and one of the hardest hitting guns in the game all while still having a minimum.

So it’s even worse now, since the last update. The highest ping anyone had on a 6vs6 was 80 and still there were so many shots not being registered and even getting damage before any opponent would start looking at you. Kills behind walls and contracted dozen bullets in one are just common occurrence. This is it for me. I’m going to wait out for the next update, but playing this pile of manure is not going to happen anymore. Unfortunately, many games in Beta get a chance to improve and recover from mistakes, but DB is doomed to follow the path of its predecessors (Brink among others) and sink into oblivion before it even gets released from beta…

i would like to know when will the server be improved? before the update i had lag some times but it was playable after the last update, i have 50ping the usual, but now it’s unplayable. you guys are changing too much the game without improving the servers first. i’m no expert but you need to improve the quality of the servers and then make the changes you want in the game, it’s unplayable in the state it is. i see for the first time player teleporting while moving, i don’t know if it is just me or what, i’m dying to much behind objects because the servers consider i’m still on sight.
plz fix the servers before any more modifications.
