I was a little confused if this was a global event or not. There’s mention of “the region”, but what region would that be? A calculated guess would be that ANZ could possibly stand for Australia and New Zealand, is this correct?
Does this mean global teams are not being accepted into the tournament?

Yes this is correct, ANZ = Australia and New Zealand. All being played on Australian servers.
And you are correct, teams are restricted to the region.
In saying that any support would be great. During the stream, everyone gets a chance to win codes, there’s no restrictions as far as that goes 
Im hoping we can get our league cash prize pool to around the 5k marks, and hoping next year to have LAN events for the title.

The $$ got my attention. Nice way of attracting views but the prizes are also cool though, just not the $3600 I imagined

This is just the qualifier, the pro series starting in 3 weeks will have the real cash. This is where the best 8 teams in the region will fight it out over 7 weeks, and be crowned the Season 1 champions.
