Anything planned for cobalt loadouts?

I currently have an S82 Arty and an A92 Fletcher, both cobalt, that I am literally never going to touch, to the point that I’d be wholly willing to give them away for free. I know there is no such option currently, but is there anything planned for the future where we’d be able to make something out of useless cards? Perhaps a trade-down feature, or the ability to sell cobalts back to the game in exchange for credits?

I’ve searched the forums and there’s been many threads asking if you can trade loadouts between players, and apparently that it’s “in the works”. Is anything planned to help you get rid of useless cobalt cards you’ll never touch again, or are we stuck with them forever? :’(

As clown said, there is something in the pipe line. SD teased about something in the next patch (after the phoenix one) something they call a ‘surprise’ so we never know.

In the Splash Damage stream they made it sound like it wouldn’t be in the next patch, but it is on the way.

Miss murder mentioned it coming really ‘soon’ last time she made a statement like that was on the anti cheat subject and we had it in the next patch. I doubt it will be the next patch but I maybe the next content patch we will see it, we can hope!

I got a cobalt arty which is not even decent from a regular case.
I would trade it down for a gold Kushwanker any day.

Trading will NOT be any time soon, due to the amount of work that will need to go into the back-end stuff regarding Steam trading and the inventory system. It will more likely be a re-roll or “trade down” option that will be coming sooner, then trading will be in the future.

who cares there is zero reason to even want cobalt, gold or silver. they do nothing for you because of all the anti pay2advantage whiners who will never spend money on the game to begin with. No point in spending money until SD gives us something worthwhile. A cobalt (the color blue) with no perks is just pointless and not worth the ridiculous price of elite cases and all you get is a slight color skin. It’s Lame. At least in TF you can buy other weapons and loadouts for different strategies which makes the game more interesting, and the crybabies dont whine about it being pay2win.

Because for some people that have never spent a dime in the game to go on to get a cobalt is pretty impressive. It takes a hell of alot of time and luck to get to a cobalt for your favourite merc. And as @PurpleNurple said, its pretty awesome when someone compliments you in game for having a pretty bad ass card.
