Anyone watch Terra Nova on fox last night?

Some of that Armor look familiar?

New World? Resistance and Security forces fighting?

Why the hell didn’t Brink have dinosaurs!!

I’d say the armor/vehicles were more reminiscent of Quake 4. Did it look to anyone else like they were using a lot of CGI people and aplying CGI details on real people?

Anyway, I thought the show sucked.

Their guns can’t kill dinosaurs… really!!! And a big fence made of wood keeps the dinosaurs out. (The same dinosaurs that are impervious to futuristic machine guns.)

Throbblefoot says: “The lamest part of that show was the man vs. plant montage set to rock music. If he had used that machete on a dinosaur then that would have been cool.”

-JJ[/QUOTE]I decided not to watch the show because of the poor writing slash HUGE plot/writing holes. For instance: If mankind is on the verge of extinction and need to travel back in time in order to start over, it seems a huge blunder/oversight to pick a point in time so far back BEFORE scientist theorize that a meteor hit the earth causing an extinction event, AND not know that there would be dinosaurs AND choose a point in time so far back that it would be nearly impossible to change events that would unfold. Why not choose a point in time to have a better chance of reversing the ill fate of the people in the future? Also, Star Trek 101 and the theory of Relativity is totally thrown out the book in this show since as soon as people entered the time portal a new reality would be created, a parallel universe in which the events of the people in the future would still continue to unfold exactly as they were currently, but the Terra Nova reality would begin and be a separate reality because its automatically changed from that point forward because man was not suppose to be present in a point of time with advanced machinery and knowledge in the age of the dinosaurs.

So, I skipped the show even though it had that bad a$$ actor who played the bad guy in Avatar. This show is gonna bankrupt somebody.

Actually the plot is even cheesier than that.

Some random one-way tear or rip in the fabric of space is discovered. It leads to a alternate earth-like planet that’s in the dinosaur age (that way they can just invent new dinosaurs instead of just using the boring old normal ones).

HUGE PLOT HOLE ALERT: Somehow, they find out what’s on the other side of this one-way portal to another dimension and decide to colonize it since their planet has gone to ****.

Oh and a guy smuggles a 5-year-old through in a backpack. WTF?!?!

Worst show ever.

Shows like this make me wish somehow, someway somebody would make another Lost. Throw in some crazy a$$ s***T all over the place like Lost did with cool characters and stuff that gets ya invested. Except I know why that won’t happen it requires GOOD writing! Its easier and makes more money with lower risk to just make another Cop show, only as a twist we’ll give the lead detective a photographic memory! Instant Problem Solver! Rant over.

Watch “Sons of Guns”, much more interesting TV

Off topic thread is off topic…

I enjoyed the show. Rather then get into it with a couple of you about your gripes on “plot holes” you say exist, I’d rather watch the show and see where things go from their.

And yes, when I saw the introduction of the “Sixers” Security Vs. Resistance immediately came into mind. That and the Sixer’s leader is HAWT.

To be honest, idgaf what you guys thought about the show. This was just about how their armor looked EXTREMELY similar to the security armor with the overlapping plates, and a similar resistance vs security with some plot twists.
