Of course I don’t have every gen 2 card for every merc I play, but I don’t find myself going back to gen 1 cards.
The augment combinations seems better in gen 2 that gen 1 for me. Plus some of the mercs I didn’t use often, I’ve started playing them way too much lately.
Gen 2 duplicates of exact same Gen 1 Cards is debatable, whether it’s gen 1 or gen 2. So it’s a different can of worms here.
Are there any gen 1 exclusives that you still find useful?
i hate how they changed the F12 perspective sniper for vassili, was my favourite sniper, secondary and even has spotter but they removed spotter so now i have to use a cricket bat loadout just to have spotter
I think the gen 1 B61 Fragger is better than the gen 2 B61. But hats only because I don’t rely on my nades as much as other Fraggers
The old Arty S72 is superior to the new one imo and still the best Stark card for him.
Also, even though I don’t use it I think the old Sawbonez CR42 is still a top tier one, definitely better than the new one and allows you to have a more aggressive playstyle than CR73 and CR81 which are more team oriented.

It’s pretty useful if you are Proxy facing Assault mercs (Frager, Rhino, Nader…), the extra 30hp is always welcome against 120+ hp mercs (especially if there are no medics on your team and/or you are the only one playing obj).

Depends on the merc. For example Fragger has better 2nd gen cards for every primary. Though many good cards for other mercs are the same as 1st gen. Right now I’m mostly using 2nd gen cards to get a fell for each one.
My biggest dilemma right now is that I still use my BL33 Fletcher, because BL21 that replaced it has Tolen instead of Empire-9 - I prefer the latter. Though Drilled and Beckhill are better than Flying Pig and the Bat, so I will be trying out BL21 at some point.
Once I get Phoenix I’m going to get a card of his with Chopper, Drilled, KEK, and good secondary. C83 I think? I love defib killing, and I think he’ll be the best for it. 115 smg defibs all the way.
I’m sad the Potent Packs, Drilled, Focus Crotzni Sawbonez (CR42) is gone. There’s a similar SMG-9 card now (SM41), but it doesn’t make sense for the CR42 to have gone away.
I still use the B83 Kira for good secondary, Quick Switch, and Mechanic.
For Phantom I like the Iron BL94 because Blish, S&W, and Katana w/ Drilled & Undercover. Don’t care for Untrackable so I prefer the better looking iron. Also enjoy the BL61 for Drilled, Quick Eye, and a knife to keep me focused/fast gibs. I’m considering putting up with a bronze poop-stain mask to get Springy on it.
Redeye’s first gen G41 is still the melee king.
Sparks 181 for just having fun. Springy + Flying Pig for movement and Quick Switch for faster self-healing. If you decide to melee only with any card or merc, this is it.
Vassili’s new F12 is bleh compared to old F12, but I’m a sucker for that new MoA Quick Eye card.
I have like two second gen cards so far, and I doubt that my Skyhammer M41, Stoker M92, Proxy KE12, or Sawbonez SM42 will ever leave me anyway.
C41 (I think) Cobalt Phoenix, Kek+Extra Supplys+Quick Draw, a combo which isn’t present in gen2. Unfortunatly it has Cool as third augment, kind of vintage now 
@inscrutableShow The new Ke12 and 21 outshine their gen1 variants like almost no other imo. Melee perks and lock-on on the 21 are just too good to pass.
