Anyone notice about the sites on the smgs...

that they don’t boost your swap speed anymore on certain setups for the Tampa, Galactic, and Carb-9?

It is now “always” better to equip iron site or adjusted iron site now.

Also on a muzzlebrake sets for the Kross, the fore-grip boosts stability now.

Based on my play time sights always slightly decreased the swap speed stat on all those guns. It’s always been “better” I guess to use iron sights because they don’t affect your stats at all. Personally I hardly notice the difference so still use other sights besides iron sights.

Muzzlebreak and front grip are 2 different things in 2 different slots on the gun. I think these are the things you are referring to (fore grip? Front grip?). They both always increased accuracy/stability.

I could be wrong about this stuff, but I’m pretty sure that’s right.

You are pretty right.

the in game stats used to indicate that front grip had little to no effect on stability, so most people opted for speed sling instead. I ran some tests, though, and even for guns that showed no change in the stat bar, the front grip did help with the kick (stability) some more than others. i wonder if the weapons patch changed anything, or just made the stat bars a bit more accurate

Okay I guess I have to go into detail since everybody, but me is lost on what I’m saying.

Previously there were certain combinations that gave odd stat boosts.

For example, before the patch, if you were to attach the muzzlebrake and speed sling to the Tampa, you’ll gain a swap speed “BOOST” when you equip the reflex sight. What I mean by this is that you actually gain more swap speed then if you were to equip the iron sight.

Am I now making sense or am I the only one here that actually notice these things on the stat bars >_>… I’m sure I can’t be the only one.

But now after the patch the reflex sights actually act normal now by taking off more swap speed then if you were to equip the iron sights.

Same thing with the foregrip (Yes foregrip, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foregrip)

on the Kross. Of course I know that the muzzlebrake and the foregrip goes on two separate areas of the gun. I don’t even see how you could derive me being confused on that fact from what I said earlier. That is a indisputable fact.

What I said above, with more clarity, was that with the muzzlebrake equipped on the Kross “AND” you decide to equip the foregrip, you would not gain ANY stat boost to stability if you were to instead equip the speed sling. … but now after the patch the foregrip works correctly, where the speed sling would not add any stability to the gun, while the foregrip does. Let me remind you that this was only possible when a muzzlebrake was attached to the gun.

i (kinda) knew what you meant - and yeah - i remember some weird stat boosts like that. what I was getting at - and did a bad job explaining - is i’m not sure if that actually improved the gun, or just the stat bar. (e.g. even though most stats for SMGs showed a minimal (if any) improvement in stability when you added the grip vs. the speed sling - hence everyone took the sling - upon my own testing, the grips actually did improve stability. (so i think the “boost” was a glitch in the way the stats were reported, not the way the guns actually performed)
