Anyone here only collects bronze cards?

(TheStrangerous) #1

Either you only care about loadouts and not skins, or you do happen to like Bronze skin in particular, raise your hand.

Sure, I do have some higher rarity skins from random drop, but I see them as good placeholder, for bronze loadout cards which I’d buy otherwise.

The only true sense of progression to me, after buying all mercs, is collecting all gen 2 bronze loadout. Sure I did some RNG for every merc, just to have a couple of bronze cards each. However lately, it was better off buying them from the store, for 17 500 Credits .

Nope, sorry.

I’m not particularly bothered about what colour a loadout is as long as it has the best weapons and attributes for the way I play. I reserve the right to change my mind if a market place for loadouts develops, in which case of course I’m going to care about having higher rareties because if I can sell them for money, I most likely will.

(JonBongNoJovi) #4

Neither , like you said you can purchase from the store , so all my mercs have the card i want for them via store , anything i obtain thru RNG cases is just fluff

I’d actually play every merc with an Iron loadout, but some of the 3rd augments are too good to pass up. The skins are default but I like the gun camo.
I’d also use default gun camos for some mercs.

I just really dislike the Bronze gun camo.

While I do have a few special edition cards I use Bronze pretty much exclusively.
I remember when I was trading up Cobalts for Kira.
I’m not sure if it was worth it.

At the end of the day you have to decide how important skins are to you.

Well I don’t collect bronze per say but I collect loadouts. I only scrap bronze if I receive the same loadout in a higher rarity. So most of my inventory is made of bronze and starts to have more and more silver/gold/cobalt gradually at the rhythm I drop duplicates.

By the way, that’s definitely a way to avoid feeling scammed or abused by the (new or older) trading system. I don’t really care about the loadout I’ll receive when I do trade-up, since the card has been made from worthless stuff (duplicates).

I definitely agree with Kirays about the value you personally put into skins/loadouts. Most of the people crying about the new crafting system are just slot machine addicts who will never be satisfied if the rules change.

Exactly this. My inventory has always been made up of every single card I could ever want in bronze, but if I do get lucky enough to get one of the cards in a higher rarity, I’ll ditch the bronze.

Yup, this is exactly the same as i do also.

Collecting all the bronze cards is the only meaningful long term goal the loadout system has to offer. B)

I do care of higher rarities, but with the new system i just stopped making loadouts. There’s no reason to craft loadouts from bronze to gold, cause in previous system costs were gradual…now if you make 10 golds and then recycle them to make the cobalt you have to spend AGAIN the resources for all the rarities before cobalt like you didn’t crafted the golds, cause every rarity has in itself the cost of all the others lower ones. The new system is a maze, it’s so twisted and perverse that you just can’t understand with certainty what we’re meant to do with it…we’re supposed to continue craftin up, level by level, all rarities to cobalt, in the mind of who defined it? or we’re supposed to craft a precise rarity even if 8/9 possible cards are gonna be pure trash that will never be used in a match (but we can’t recycle for resasons above about how much we lose) ?

(scrub_lord) #15

I will now after the crafting update.

(MarsRover) #16

The whole “sorry your 1st gen cards are now obsolete, we’re going to do something about them… someday… maybe” debacle has finally pushed me to stop caring. I switched to full potato settings. Every rarity looks like poo

Now that crafting makes rarity progression very costly I need to pick whether to craft exclusively bronzes or silvers. Maybe I’ll decide on a merc by merc basis depending on how much I use them. So it very well may be that most of my future cards will all be bronze.

(pumpkinmeerkat) #17

What care I had has been offset by the credit costs involved in crafting.

(Madonna_) #18

“iron best cards”

(XavienX) #19

Personally I just care about the gameplay so I’m fine with using Bronze. The only exception that I actually tried multiple times to trade up for like golds and cobalts was for my main, Vassili because I actually got bored of looking at the same skin.

(K1X455) #20

Aside from cobalt for tactical similaty with friendly units, me a mate collect them for public gameplay.
