Anyone elses steam overlay popping up by itself?

This one is confusing me. About 3 days ago a friend of mine was complaining that their Steam overlay was popping up by itself while playing Dirty Bomb and thought it was just their PC being weird. Last night while playing a different friend was complaining that their steam overlay was popping up by itself, and then about 20-30 minutes later mine started doing it too.

It’s only happening on Dirty Bomb as far as I can tell. Anyone got any suggestions?

Rebind your steam overlay hotkey from shift+tab to something that makes sense.

But I don’t touch shift tab while I’m playing. I use UHJK for movement and never push either of those keys.

dont check the scoreboard while running. else idk.

I use UHJK I can’t physically look at the scoreboard.

Because my thumb sits between right alt and space then, so I can use both keys easier.

I have had it happen to me but it only happens if I tab out with the steam overlay open.
when I tab back in my steam overlays not open and shift+tab doesn’t open it.
then randomly it popups open when Im playing.
