This isn’t true for the most of the gamemodes. RED have much longer (more than double) spawntimer in Payload and A/D CP; also in KOTH team that capped the point have longer spawntimer. That’s why it is OK to suicidal push as a BLU, and much more important to stay alive at any cost as a RED.
Anyone else not liking the new respawn times?
The respawns are far too long after the changes in my opinion, especially as someone who could care less about the competitive scene, or balancing for the competitive players.
I’ve started just playing mobile games during my every-death 20+ second wait, which then bleeds into my playing time and then I often end up waiting an extra 10 seconds or so to spawn and don’t contribute to my team…

Is this respawn time only in 8v8 or did they increase it for all of the sizes?
Because if they did, fuck that shit.
The only thing I don’t understand: SD said smaller rooms will have shorter spawntimes. I played a 2v2 game yesterday and we all had 24 secs spawntimes.

It’s 30s for 8v8, 27s for 7v7, and 24s (no change) for 6v6. That’s for full servers, I’m not 100% sure what happens when there are free slots.
I quite like it, the importance of medics is even more now. Before I used to yolo in for instant action. Now I think twice before doing that.
I’ve noticed 3s waiting time for a 1vs1, so I assume it’s safe to assume that times are proportonial to the team size.
