Anyone else lagging since the maintenance?

(ThunderZsolt) #1

It happens on every server, (I have <50ms ping) no matter the time. I don’t have this amount of lagg in other games - in fact, other games run just fine, so it isn’t my network either.

Before you comment “nah, I have lagg too, and I can play with it” watch this:

Yes, I did hold “F” the whole time. Aside from this happening, I randomly don’t shoot, don’t activate abilities, etc.

i hope by saying ‘hld f the whole time’ you mean 'i pressed ‘f and held it repeateadly’

I’m sure he knows how to pick up the objective…
I doubt he’d record a video, upload it and post it on the forums without knowing to hold a button.

Odd issue though, I haven’t experienced that at all.

Well, at 68ms ping, there were a couple of players I shot and emptied a full mag of the Crotzni and died only after my reload animation started.

(MilkyBear) #5

I saw guy with 999 ping, and many 200 ping-ers.

My ping has improved although i was having internet issues i fixed around same time

(ImSploosh) #7

The most recent maintenance has caused some problems for me and other players as well. There’s been “sign in attempt” issues as well as ping spikes (like bad ones too where it doesn’t drop for a while). There’s also been a lot of slow loading. Other than that though, I haven’t experienced anything like in the video just yet.

Its expected that new servers may have issues for the first few weeks as they need to iron out the kinks and im sure next update will address some of the issues. Im sure there monitoring eveverything and fixing. Im sure we will see another backend down time in the comming weeks to address the issues.

I think a lot will depend on whether they keep the same physical servers or migrate to new digs

That would likely be an issue with the person who killed you, they probably had terrible ping and it took that long to register that they had also killed you too.

It was they who died…

Ah yes after re-reading that I understood how you meant it. Thought you were saying you killed them, then reloaded then you died by their hand.

I haven’t been seeing those issues personally, so I can’t comment on what would cause that. What region do you play in?

(K1X455) #13

@SnakekillerX Australia

I’m now equally playing in areas like US West, US East, Asia and occasionally in EU.

Very good players in those areas.

(pumpkinmeerkat) #14

I get the same periodic freezes other players have reported. No issues with carriables but lots of animation issues.

Seems like every server I join lately has at least a few 150+ ping players. Not sure if this a regional server population issue or quick join isn’t taking ping into consideration anymore? I don’t like the idea of ping limits or region restrictions but playing in a server with high ping players at the moment is not a fun experience for anyone. Hopefully this can be addressed. Will SA servers actually be in SA now?

ALSO, input lag…fix when?

(GatoCommodore) #15

the ping spike is very noticeable

(ImSploosh) #16

Something’s definitely wrong with the servers, unless there’s some problem that many players are having… The ping spikes are outrageous. The lag is so bad that I can’t even make simple trick jumps or just normal jumps. My ping spikes to 900+ every other game. Honestly, it’s unplayable right now. Only started happening after that recent “maintenance.” I’ve talked to other players and I have seen other players’ ping spiking.

Hope this gets fixed soon.

(K1X455) #17

The spikes and packet losses are more prevalent in sub 150ms servers… very frequent when I connect to Australian servers.

(GatoCommodore) #18

maybe this is because server migration
but who am i to tell, im not SD employee or anything
