Anyone else have a G502?

If so what DPI and in game sens do you use? I use 400 DPI with a 10 in game sens

(Ghosthree3) #2

Yes. 2,000 DPI scaled by half - so 1,000 kinda - and 3.7 in-game sens.

Yeah. I am trying to lower my sensitivity because I saw that it can be really good for tracking heads. At the same time I have to lift my mouse a lot (I have the steelseries qck mousepad) to do a rotation. Not sure if this is good or bad… maybe just haven’t practiced enough to see the headshots roll in.

Using QcK+ here. Best pad though.

Mostly it’s practice, sensitivity won’t help you much tbh.

Could you recommend going any higher for my sensitivity? It seems a bit much that I am having trouble tracking players who move around me a lot and then I can’t get good headshots either.

General rule is go as low as you can comfortably go. After that it’s just practice, no sensitivity will let you lock on to heads, they can make it easier but you still need to train yourself to do it.

i suggest in game put sensitivity to minimum
and
in mouse at 1000 or 800 or whatever you are comfortable with

i have G9x close
and the best in the world ( because i tried like 100 of them cloth, aluminum, plastic etc… )

Razer Spex RULES

I pick up my mouse constantly. You play with your arm with low sensitivity as opposed to your wrist so you will pick up your mouse constantly. And moving to low sensitivity won’t make you a head shot machine. You’ll still have to have good tracking. Low sens simply makes it easier to not overshoot targets. You sort of just snap to them and then do minor corrections. It also helps when things get frantic as tiny muscle movements won’t throw your aim off if you get a bit flustered in a fight.

My advice? Get the length of your mouse pad, the length of your mouse, both in milimeters. Then, subtract the length of your mouse from the length of your mouse pad, then convert to centimeters. This is basically the max room you have to move your mouse.

Then, take that number in centimeters, and multiply by 360, then divide by 270 and 420.

This will give you a range of sensitivity. In my case, I have 31 cm of room to move my mouse. So my range for ideal sensitivities is 27 to 41 cm per 360. I go any lower than 41 cm I’ll need a bigger mouse pad. XD

Or you can just practice doing perfect 180’s and calibrate that way

I have the g502 as well and I have 2350dpi on the mouse and 2.9 in game if that helps.
Also I have it set up so that I do a 180 when flicking the mouse so that would be a good start.

Lol you guys xD

I have 1,000 dpi and 24 in game sens…

Thats nothing! My friend who has the same mouse as I do and hates the game played at 2750 DPI and 20 in game sens. And then he went on to ignore me telling him to turn it down and complained about hit registration in the game… lol. Anyways I have been using 400 DPI and 10 in game for longer now and I am way more used to it. Definitely easier to stay on target now.

Almost claw-grip, low sense, a lot of lifting. The reward is great control.
