This isn’t the games, or the devs, or anyones fault really besides myself.
But anyways, anyone else think this? It’s not EVERY death, but the majority of them are longspawns for me (I think).
Anyone Else Feel Like You Get Longspawned Like Every Death?
I have the odd day where every spawn in a 7v7 is 22-23s, but like you say it’s our own fault haha.
I pay attention to my spawn timer pretty frequently. I’ll hang back a lot of times if I’d go on long spawn and take fewer risks. Then proceed to YOLO when the timer starts running down. It works out most of the time…until I YOLO too hard, do something crazy that works too well but I end up dead and the timer already expired and I go on long spawn
But yeah, I highly recommend paying solid attention to your spawn timer. It’s not only a good habit for pubs but it’s a great habit for competitive so that you can avoid long spawns or know when to kill out during bad situations where you probably won’t survive long enough for your respawning team to show up.
Ever since the update for it its thrown off my game. I’m normally pretty bang on for the next wave, but after the update I was completely off XD now I’ve sorted myself out a bit more.
Actually, it’s made me pay a bit more attention to spawn timers. Helps me figure out where players have rushed to. (Always fun when your arty and people jump into your air strike on the last obj in chapel)
a slightly unrelated question here, are the spawn timers for attackers and defenders exactly the same for objective and stopwatch?
Nope, OBJ timers are offset. They will also change based on the difference in player count between the teams.
Stopwatch is exactly the same for both teams. Which I freaking HATE and it’s so easily abused.
Make sure to always check spawn timer and if you see that it’s like 3 seconds left and the chances of you living past those 3 seconds are high then simply press k to avoid going down full
I play around the spawn timer, so if I get caught on long, I am not playing well at all.
It’s really one of the fundamentals of my play style. I got be on hella tilt in order to get put on a long spawn. It’s very rare that you can get placed on long spawn if you’re playing around the timer, unless you catch a random grenade or frag.

No, because I base my plays around the spawn timer, I pay attention to the spawn timer, and I know when the best time to push is to minimise my down time. Only time I’ll get long spawned is if I’m caught off guard by something I can’t react to.

Dw, maybe SD will change it one day.
Unfortunately that I did not saved the picture of 2v2 match with 24 seconds long spawn time.

I’ve given up on that. I’ve never even heard their logic behind keeping the timer synchronized. All I know is that I dislike it immensely to the point of me not playing SW that much simply because I could easily start abusing the hell out of the timers which I consider super cheesy. Even in legit tournament matches. Fragger/Nader nades going out at particular times to try and catch people running into a common area is pretty ridiculous.
Well you can still abuse the timer in obj matches as well. If I can I run to the spawn to see what time they spawn or if I notice them running to a certain location I can usually get a good estimate at the time they spawn @Amerika
I’m aware. But it’s not always possible to be 100% sure where you can easily throw a pre-set grenade and get a nearly guaranteed kill or two every single time. And as I mentioned, the timer can easily change.
It’s simply handed to you on a platter in Stopwatch and there is zero information gathering or thought process involved.

I don’t know why they tell you who exactly is alive, either. Makes knowing when they spawn in Obj mode as easy as checking the scoreboard every few seconds.
It was a lot better before they added that info to the scoreboard. You needed to pay attention to the killfeed to know when the enemy team got wiped or if all the medics are dead.
Oh well :#
you just dont notice short spawn timers
same with ppl that says “69 again, i see this number all the time” but in reality they just dont care about other numbers
psychology

Oh trust me I do. Everytime I get 10 second or less respawn I’m like “Oh wow. For once.”
open your eyes people. look at the timer. also remember to use suicide, longspawn is players fault
