Anyone else been killed by their own turret yet?

A phantom tried to katana me and my turret hit me (and then him). But it counted as a suicide. Perhaps turrets shouldn’t be able to hurt their owners?

This has happened to me a few times now. Didn’t know it was possible till it happened.

So you ran infront of your turret while it was shooting someone.

Most (all?) abilities can hurt their owner, so it kind of makes sense.

Other abilities are aimed by their owners, but turrets aim independently.

Happens in tf2 too , just dont stand infront of a machine that spits out solid pieces of metallic death

I wasn’t standing in front of it, it aimed at a player next to me and killed me.

Happened to me last night, I’d never seen it before. I was in a gun duel with a fletcher, killed him and the turret’s last shot or two finished me off. I was really confused!

It’s also just as annoying in TF2. Christ, can’t you Texans realize the value of training your sentry guns not to fire through a friendly to hit an enemy?
