Needless to say Phantom is one of the free mercs this week and yes we all have seen triple phantom teams on both sides … Phantoms need to understand that even standing still, they are pretty obvious. You can hear them from a mile away and any player that pays the slightest of attention can detect a phantom. I almost feel bad for them. I guess it isn’t my fault they are not using gun in a gun fight and insist on chasing down someone who clearly detects them all the time with a katana and will refuse to ever switch to KEK even though they never closed the gap to knife … Phantom may even be the easiest merc to kill given so many players simply only wield katana meaning all you have to do is back peddle and shoot them in the head. Even in emergency situations you can long jump to get instant distance. SD over-nerf + the refusal to use gun really makes it enjoyable to kill Phantoms. Though there are few good Phantoms out there who position well, flank with guns and katana wisely, using chaos and gun noise to cover their trails. It is always nice to see some good Phantoms using lighting to cover the not so invisible cloak and blend in perfectly.
Any1 Else is Having Too Much Fun Killing Phantoms?
I make them think they have a chance to backstab me and then turn around and blow them away with the remburg.
It’s so fun though. And you know they are salty when they go all out of the way ignoring every other dude and charge right at you and dies to everyone’s bullets and type hack in the chat XD. At which point they do not even bother cloaking anymore
Some of them actually learn, eventually. “Oh crap, it’s that guy again, I know I’ve died 15 times in a row to him, but this time, maybe this time is the chance! Quick, he’s distracted!.. Aww bollocks…”
I think this might actually be the easiest rotation to deal with as long as most of them play Phantom. Well, easy as long as you bring enough bullets and now we even don’t have those Skyhammers who don’t drop ammo.
I think Phantom is really easy to play against but I hate Fletcher. I recently found love in Phoenix and I am doing so well and consistent with him. The problem is Fletcher free week and you see like 4 Fletchers running around. If any of those bombs stick close or onto you, you are done for. They did just enough damage to kill Phoenix >.>. But I still did well against them. I can’t imagine doing so against really good Fletchers.
I got basically ganged yesterday by 3 of them. => one killed me. What they didn’t know is that it was maybe not the smartest idea. I was playing Nader so they gave me a triple kill and a melee badge so yeah… 
Nader is like Phantom’s Big MAMA. Phantoms cannot resist the urge to knife and Gib while Nader cannot resist the urge to blow herself up >.>
Nader is just so fun to play when Phantom is on free rotation. New players make the mistake of wanting to use their katana on every merc. I just sometimes wait with martyrdom until for example an enemy mercs runs around the corner but doesn’t spot me in time.
On the first day of rotation Phantoms were everywhere, but now I hardly see em’ (no pun intended). Tu stronk, I guess.
I still see quite a few in every match I participate in. Once people start getting stomped with Phantom, a lot of people will just give him up and play something else. What annoys me is Fletcher. He is just plain troll >.>
At least he has to detonate his shirt, while Naders spams like there is no tomorrow.
I don’t know why. I seem to have the joy of killing bad Phantoms and not bad other mercs. There is just something hilarious about bad Phantoms.
I have never had so much fun with a free rotation…phantoms are so easy to kill, this poor class is so damned, yet its incredibly entertaining to kill all the newbies and/or somewhat veterans who think they can slash you. Its great! 
Phantom is so NOT overpowered, in fact he’s so trash right now, even the devs don’t realize he’s not just lacking competitive viability but general viability against any decent player. You’re wise.
