Any word from devs about this? The numbers are real!

So I recently started this strawpoll

“Would you buy Elite Case if you could roll for specific Merc?”
330 (48%) people voted on yes;
260 (38%) on maybe;
99 (14%) on no;
So what’s your word on this Splash Damage? Are you going to make changes and satisfy your players?
Not to mention Elite Case prices. 5 euro for a Silver loadout? Eh. Huge gamble and you will probably get a loadout for merc you don’t have/play. Good idea would be to pick which merc you want to roll loadout on.

Strawpoll doesn’t show anything about if people are already buying them and thus does not show if it would be an increase at all. Also want to use forum poll so that you can actually see who has voted.

We have some incoming changes to the loadout system in the works, though nobody has any idea what exactly. There is rarely any word from the devs that is more detailed than “This is something we would like to see one day/eventually/soon”.

I appreciate the attempt, but the poll lacked a lot of the detail that makes polls useful. All this coupled with people voting “Yes, I would buy this!” is more accurately just people saying “Yes, I agree with this” - it’s sometimes a different story when they have to vote with their wallets.

Agreed on the price, what you get for your money just isn’t worth it - the cards add nothing to my experience and the cosmetics aren’t great, along with being far too RNG heavy.

I don’t mind the RNG system as long as it isn’t as expensive as it is now. £3.99 a case doesn’t make sense to me, if you got two cards out of that then it would be more appealing. I’ve opened a handful of cases that i’ve had free with the bundles and the events and the nest I got was a gold arty with the stark. I’ve pulled a cobalt and a handful of golds from normal cases that I haven’t spent a single penny on or ingame credits.

It would make more sence to me if you can purchase elite cases which has a chance to get silver / gold / cobalt for a specific merc. At the moment the cards you get from elite cases are mostly used for trade ups in order to gamble there for the card of your choice.

If you want a specific merc then just trade up…

I think the Splash Damage should add more things to buy with your money then just cases. Like weird cosmetic items that can also be earned in game via credits or paid for with money. As for rolling on specific mercs…um not sure. If they do that, they should make it so it’s not easy to get the merc skin you want otherwise Splash Damage might lose the incentive for players to spend money on the game. I actually would prefer to see a loud-out trading system with your friends as well. Maybe add a transaction fee to such trades so that you are only trading if you really have to.

I got a card I already had. Talk about disappointment.

We know who’s buying them. Sniff :smiley:

First off, @nagy.m.bear, use the Quote feature at the bottom of someone’s comment instead of copy pasting their post.

Secondly, this is one of the few things that this game makes money on and giving players a tremendously improved chance of getting what they want reduces how often they will purchase Elite Cases, the rate is fine, in fact you’re only really screwed if you get a cobalt for a class you do not want because currently there is no way to change that. However you can always trade up your silver and gold cards for ANY merc you want. It’s a gamble to begin with, if you have the money to spend on such an item then you should not complain when you get terrible results knowing full well the chances are low(Honestly it tells you right in the store).
