is there any way to do it?
any possible way?
/apart from VPN, that i am currently using/
mb cross-region invites for PRO-subscribers?
anything, that will make possible Russian/Ukrainian/Belarusian clans to take part in EU/USA cups and visa versa?

Well I’m sure there is at least 1 thing: Move to the desired country. Might be a bit extreme for a game though.
i mean. if the playercount is not so big. like with quakelive - several thousands of ppl. then the game will not survive region blocks.
i imagine quakelive getting region block and no Cypher, no Cooller, no Evil on the scene. ql would be dead for several years now. add here cups, stream watchers, LAN events in Moscow/Kiev etc.
region blocks have a very good opportunity to finish off the game.
I don’t think that SD, Nexon, DD cares too much about this, i see no point for SD make such thing only for cups and turnaments, how many teams from CIS gona particapate in this cups? I agree, region block idea is stupidest thing ever, and this cause only problems and fast death of game.
judging from Quakelive statistics - quite a lot, actually.
with playercount as low as “several thousands” every team. every tournament, every stream matters!
Don’t have an issue with different people marketing the game to different regions, but why do we have to actively block player connections from naughty IP ranges.

Quake game with long history, same with CS.I don’t think DB will be popular as this games.
we do have ~25k subscribers in vkontakte dirtybomb group, nevertheless.

How many of them gona play? Most of them CS,CoD kids, and their first reaction gona be like “WTF, WHERE IS SnD???” or “Where is AWP?” and etc.
The notion of cross-region matches hasn’t been entirely ruled out, although it would require quite a lot of work. There are plenty of items on the backlog list that would have a higher priority than something like this. As far as worry about player numbers though, we’re not expecting that to be an issue for many a year to come.
this!
CIS will pay to Ddestiny, EU will pay to Nexon
why block players by IP??
How does that require work? Isn’t it more work to keep other regions out?
So players will need to use vpn to get in? Somehow this is stupid.
Edit: if any it’s a business reason. Players in a region sold to another company then nexon might want to play on nexon servers with there friends. So either it’s lost money for that company, or they would need to move there asses and coordinate there **** together. - sad. face -
