Respect to you, Amerika. That’s the hardest part. Finding someone that’s mature enough to accept the truth and seek for the solution immediately, without needless emotion expose.

But do not, never ever assume those arrogant pricks are me, because the reason why I got out of my team was basically there was no hope, even I knew what was wrong, and how to solve it. It was just matter of time. Fixing those in one month is completely impossible. Well, what’s worse was some team mates were mad at me just because I pointed out what was wrong, even they did the worst in DBN and scrims.

Seen enough high skilled but immature pros who always blame other team mates when they lose in progamer scenes. At least they are good with their own skills, so that they are able to maintain themselves in certain level, but low skilled and blaming others? Let’s not even talk about it.

@DirtyMerc

Good thing I remember him. But it is weird that I didn’t see him for very long time. I always play in 8vs8 or 7vs7 pubs, but never seen him. Turtle was quite hard to beat though. I Always remember tough enemies or skilled DB player. Anyway, may I ask about how he’s doing nowadays? or, ask him how have he been instead of me? I am very sure he is going to remember me.

Yup @ThunderPro, it is. You analyze a loss or a bad win and you figure out what the actual problem was and discuss. Many times it’s position or a bad strat or a slow call on a counter as opposed to individual play. Sometimes it is individual play and then you need to call that out maturely and see if it can be fixed (could be a low FPS, game chop, inconsistent ping or a plays differently under pressure issue). If the issue can’t be fixed then you bench the player and make sure they are OK with that (you’d be surprised how well people react to it and try to get better if you present it correctly) and recruit somebody else like-minded and talented.

If the benched player fixes the issues then you have a deeper roster of interchangeable and mentally tough people. Which is what you need if you’re going to do something like have game after game of not just regular league play but invite level where everyone is a killer but you still win the championship play. It’s stressful but it can be worth it.

This is all probably worthless philosophy to most but it’s worked for me in just about every game I was serious about playing in the past. Hopefully the competitive scene in DB stops being such a tiny pond (full of many salty players) which would make building a team worth it.

@Amerika

I wish DB itself to be get big first, and then we will have more pro players.

I could’ve done all those fantastic ideas that you wrote if I was team leader, but sadly, I’m not. SLASH is Singaporean based-team, and I’m just one South Korean hired gun who had no teams, no where to be included, just super good at pub stomping.

But hey, at least what you wrote isn’t all worthless theories! You will be an excellent team leader. Damn, I’ll be in your team if I was able to. I always wanted to be that kind of leader or in that leader’s team.

Since I’m joining the Special Force army at the end of this Feb, I can’t play DB no more. At least have to spend 4 years at the fields. All I wanted was a bit of remarkable achievements in DB, but guess I ran out of time. I’ll just hope SD fix my Thunder before I leave, and DB getting big/famous enough to run big leagues like League of Legends does, after 4 years if I survive. Well, long live the DB.

Hate to admit it, but this game is dying, and it’s undeniable at this point. They have to pull a CS:GO for this game to become active in the pro scene.

Going to go a bit off-topic here so apologies @ThunderPro. It is somewhat relevant to finding a team and you being able to find a team when you get back (safely) at some point in the future and hopefully DB is alive and well.

It might be dying for you but according to actual stats (and I’m not talking about concurrent stats) it’s pretty damn healthy. People confuse that a lot.

With that said, it doesn’t mean the competitive scene itself is good. And that is entirely the result of the lack of community servers and league/tournament support from the devs (bugs and features too but that’s a different more focused topic). You can’t close off a game so thoroughly from players by not allowing them to own/operate their own servers and then ALSO not create a solid league/tournament system that’s built in (think of how League does it).

You can’t expect the playerbase to build a healthy comp scene given those type of restrictions and lack of support. Sure, some hardcore players will stick around and do cups from time to time but all of the teams that form out of communities for “fun” but want to play organized competitive are gone. They are the ones who help drive the competitive scene and that is completely non-existent in DB. Everything that makes a healthy competitive scene interesting is the idea that you can go up through the ranks and become the best. Which means that the little guys need communities just as much as the hardcore…especially when most of the time the latter players were once the former. And those communities tend to form around community servers or at least a good built in system that helps promote and foster a community.

I get that SD/Nexon want to ensure that their revenue stream is protected by controlling servers. I understand how important that is for the type of game DB is. But other companies have fixed this revenue issue by allowing certain hosts to deploy/sell official servers. So SD/Nexon either need to do that or they need to go the Riot Games route and create their own league and tournament ecosystem. Having neither option stagnates the competitive scene and support of what could be a great competitive game which, currently, is basically ran by a small group of players who are (sometimes) rightfully salty.

@ThunderPro yup he is as great as he was before … no doubt in that … but he appears rare nowadays. Yes as Xan said turtle will be in his friend list , so you can just add him … he is a jovial person :smile:
