Any tech guys out there?

(sentimentalDime) #1

So, i’ve been experiencing some technical difficulties with my computer.
It wants me to download the 358.91 Game Ready Driver, so i did, and it uninstalled my old drivers, then i went to restart my computer, and the new driver wasn’t installed. I did get it to install once, but after like 10 minutes my computer just randomly restarted and the driver wasn’t installed.
So… My GPU is kinda fucked…
I’ve kinda run out of ideas at this point, and several different google searches yielded no results.
I hope there’s someone out there who knows anything about this.

Try to completely remove the Nvidia Driver via DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). Safe Mode is recommend.

You can find it here: http://www.wagnardmobile.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=123

Don’t use Nvidia Experience. From my personal point of View, it’s Bloatware.

If you couldn’t get the 358.91 to work after reinstalling (after DDU), then i would stick with the older one (358.87).

Good Luck

I’m a tech guy, you bought the wrong line of GPU’s

(Dwu) #7

U could try restoring a recent restore point, probably the fastest way to solve the issue.

(sentimentalDime) #8

@Dwu
Already done that ;_;

Could you test the GPU in an other PC (Friends, Parents etc.)? Would be the easiest Way to find out if the GPU is broken, or if it is a Software Problem.

Remote Maintenance is always hard. But if the GPU is working fine in an other PC, i would go for a reinstall of the OS.

@sensit1ve_
A guy from where i bought the GPU said that i should do a reinstall of the OS, and if that doesn’t work i should send it to them to see if it’s busted or what’s happening.

stick a banana into your computer. it helps

Nvidia…
After uninstall,use CC cleaner to rid all Nvidia junk from registry.
Give that whirl before ya format.

(sensit1ve_) #13

@RabidDoG: The DDU also cleans the Registry.
@sentimentalDime: I would go for a reinstall. Maybe some Drivers are corrupt. Best of Luck.
