Any other Competitive TF2 players here?

I know I’m definitely not the only one, so far I’ve seen WARHURYEAH, and Soarex ingame, as well as a few friends of mine from it, but that’s about it.

I myself am “STOGE” (or silveryVase apparently), and am currently a mid-level pocket in ETF2L for the 6s team Yeezus Fanclub and an up and coming mid-level Soldier for the Highlander team [url=“http://etf2l.org/teams/24991/”]AMENO.

Hope to see more of you guys in game if you’re out there!

I’m still trying not to giggle at the “competitive TF2” thing…

Funny that when you’re now on the forums for a game that’s pretty similar.

I can also guarantee your experience from TF2 is purely from public servers, which of course is gonna be retarded, competitive isn’t even comparable.

Competitive DirtyBomb players probably think the exact same with DirtyBomb public servers, so don’t feel so entitled in thinking the game I play is a joke.

Ever heard of TF2 Espionage: A Guide to Playing Spy

I made that series a long time ago when I still loved the game. And I don’t think it’s the tutorial and the work I put into it that killed the fun it had, the game just changed WAY too much. So many things that simply did not need to exist, kinda wished I delved more into 6s when I had the chance.

Highlander Spy isn’t bad, but certain classes just aren’t meant to be ran all the time. Spy being one of them, without enough combat ability on his own to use when he gets caught, he’s pretty much only a melee class. And that does not work, because the backstab is way to situational. Against good players all the right circumstances need to be lined up for him to be useful.

Glad to see Phantom isn’t like that, he seems to be more of Solid Snake kind of a guy, or even William Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein New Order. He can be very stealthy or a definite commando depending on the situation, he’s adaptable. That’s exactly what the Spy seemed to lack most of the time in higher level play.

Played scout and medic for couple of seasons in UGC, then my team became inactive. Not that much motivation to get on a new team anymore but if some of my friends want me to play for their team, I might give it a shot.

Played UGC competitively for five seasons and have about 4k hours on tf2. I played spy, but you probably could’ve guessed that  I got frustrated with tf2 because of like @Watsyurdeal said, the spy’s backstab is “way too situational”. (btw, i want to thank you. that guide got me into spy.) Dirty bomb is something new to do and extremely fun, I don’t really play tf2 much anymore unless it’s just some casual games with friends.
