Any new GUI or GUI that's been updated for q3map2 v2.5.16?

I need a frontend GUI for all the new tricks in q3map2. Any suggestions and more importantly any links to their downloads?

There is no front end that is up to date with Q3Map2 2.5.16. If you want to use some of the latest features, you’ll have to manually write a batch file.

The most recent front end program would be Q3map2Toolz. For the latest switches, you can type them in manually into a dialog box in the interface.

ShminkyBoy has updated the options file for Q3Map2Build. You can find it at http://www.ut.map-depot.com/ along with Q3Map2Build.

@Deiscorides
I’ll release a front end written in java within a few months.
It would be the most powerful or fat front end ever released.
One disadvantage is it requires massive additional downloads.
Please look forward to. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the replies. I’ve used Q3Map2 Toolz extensively in the past. I swore I had version 0.6.5, but I can only find version 0.6.11 which I’ll be using this time around I think.

I’ve never tried Q3Map2Build. I’ll give it a shot though.

I look forward to anything that will make things easier in the long run. :slight_smile:

Personally, I’ve always just used a batch file.

I edit the gtkradiant .proj files which display in radiant`s bsp menu, similar syntax to batch files.

You dont need an update for Q3map2build because it changes its interface dynamically using the Q3map2-files. So just get the latest Q3map2bild from bobdev’s page and it will show u all the options the version of Q3map2 you are using comes with.
I have no idea y ppl use batch-files when u can use such an easy interface as Q3map2build :bash:

I`ve never used a front end app for q3map2, but the reason I like batch/proj files is because once set up, they only need one click to run.
