Any ideas on non-cosmetic progression?

Is there? After unlocking mercs, there’s basically nothing gameplay mechanic wise to unlock.

The only thing I can imagine are the sets of 9 default cards (I guess 8, since each mercs has 1 default card) for permanent unlock. Kinda like unlocking mercs, but it’s default loadouts instead.

I know there are bronze cards, but I’d love a classic look. Plus, the sense of pride and accomplishment.

By no means I suggest P2W nonsense, heck, main reason why I don’t buy retail priced AAA games no more.

EDIT:

There’s been ambiguous words, coming from Ask The Dev vids about gun mods… If such thing were to exist in DB, then I’m quite skeptical. It adds more complex onion layers to overall balance…

what gameplay mechanic would you want, splitting skins from loadouts ?

not sure how that’s a “gameplay mechanic” as it’s once again cosmetic, any gun mods are likely to be red dots/holo sights, neither affect the game mechanic outside of amount of zoom, although some want suppressors, the lack of audio telltales will nix that .

Still unsure I’m following what you mean about “gameplay mechanic” To me that would be AP rounds, body armour, flak jacket stuff and that would affect balance.

trying to be serious here as your post doesn’t reek of spam like some of your later ones, no offense of course
o:)

yea im against suppressor not because i dont want it in the game, but i know SD still has issues with implementing correct audio for stuff like rechambering rifle sound on aimee-vasilli fel-ix.

Gun mods in terms of scopes will change client side sight picture. That’s all. No game mechanic gets changed. As far as the suppressor is concerned, if they implement it such that it only applies to client side, then audio suppression will not play a significant role in the game. However, it will impact higher tier level play if gun sounds are suppressed and gunfire is not being reported to other players (imagine a close corner when someone is firing his M4, BR, Stark, Dreiss or Timik; instead of giving away his approximate position, he can suppress his firing report).

Maybe you should try out broadening your gameplay and try something else like Sparks whose skill tier is high.

The good ol’ “Nail’s Wisdoms”, so bad they’re so good.
HOW ADORABLE!
Thanks for the laffs!

But no, it’s simple. If you beat a boss in a game, and you acquire the new weapons from him, you unlock the new gameplay mechanic, as an example. New weapon combo sets and stats, etc.
I wanna have the same feeling I get, upon unlocking new merc.
