We all know a merc i gonna get released, we dont know when, we dont know who, but we know something is coming.
And by the successive poll that has been made we also know that the forum is pretty divided on who they want out first. Personally I’m ready:
So does anyone think there is a possibility that both mercs get released and everyone is happy in the best of the world ? Or should i crush my hope to avoid disappointement ?
Awhile ago, SD said that they weren’t planning on a double release.
But honestly nobody knows.
Knowing the speed at which SD develops, I don’t think they can even pull off a single release. Like, maybe half a merc.
Yeah I really want Aimee. Been waiting for her since I started playing DB. But they need to fix snipers first, right now they’re broken after the last genius patch.
Seeing as the new official avatars include Turtle and I couldn’t find Aimee, I’m guessing its gonna be Turtle.
Also it just makes sense implementing a fourth engineer, because there’s been TWO recons released in the past six months.
At this point, it’s guaranteed we will not be having another double release. The reason being that merc releases are slowing down, in favour of other aspects of the game, such as new maps, competitive improvements, and other essential features they haven’t talked about much yet. So I’m afraid there will definitely be no double merc release in the future 
Also, in regards to those talking about the new Steam official avatars, just because Turtle is there and Aimee is not, does NOT mean that he is the next merc. It’s a good possibility he could be, but there are a number of reasons why Aimee is not there right now.

Yeah but there was already one recon close to useless for most player and since the recent patch there is no two useless recons
Just so that people are clear, the Steam profile images have nothing to do with the next merc, and there are a few good reasons why Aimee is not there. There’s a good chance it could still be either of them next - there just won’t be a double release ever again.
